Yes, There IS Climate Change, But.........

A beautiful day in a beautiful mountainous location. But, don't take the weather for granted.
First of all, I want to open today's commentary by saying that I am not a denier of there being climate change, for the climate has changed in many different ways since the earth was created by our omnipotent God.  And I admit that mankind makes many mistakes with regard to care for the world.  Sometimes they are deliberate, caused by greed or dogma, sometimes they are with the best of intentions which turn out to be impossible in reality and sometimes they are just the product of stupidity. But to say that mankind and, more particularly, we Americans are the driving force in climate change requires great audacity in this world.  Computer models, using man created data which can be modified to meet the whim of the modeler and limited by a very short number of years on the scale of earthly life is pure folly if that is the basis used as fact.

Science is never a product of consensus and skepticism is healthy in the scientific community.  And to say that 97% of all scientists say the discussion over  man-made climate change is settled, begs the question: Show us the real proof, not the results of your man-made model?  And now we find that there are thousands of scientists who  will tell you otherwise, it just depends on who you ask. In reality, when we allow political correctness as opposed to truth to govern our decisions, then, of course, the politically correct will always speak loudly and try to drown out others. We can witness it every day right here in the good old USA.  But there is a much bigger aspect of the issue I want to point out.

If God is our Creator and He created the universe, the sun, the other planets and our earth with all its components including man,  how can He not be the controlling force through what He created? Well, if you don't believe in God as the Creator of us all, you won't believe it and that is the case here.  And remember, I admitted upfront that there is climate change, it's a natural factor which comes with the domain and man certainly has a role in it.  After all, mankind is part of nature as well.  Why can't we all remember that?  And in accordance with the way we were made, we have free will to  make decisions using the brain that is part of our make-up, provided by God.  He gives us freedom to choose whether we want to believe or not and, if not, and we follow our wishes and desires instead of His plan for us, we create problems both for ourselves and often others as well.

Those very bad decisions do have an impact on many things, but to think that man is the  major cause of climate change when a Krakatoa event can spew enough pollution into the air to darken the skies over  large areas of the earth thousands of miles away makes the claim dubious at best. And these same people, who love to refer those who disagree with them as "deniers," create the models for measurement and largely don't want anyone to see their methodology and what was inputted to create the model. Why not?  Furthermore, when we can't even get the weather correct for three days in the future but we're predicting what will happen in one hundred years makes clear that it's all about money.  They want to pump more and more tax money into projects that will primarily impact the way we live by destroying productivity and the standard of living.  Meanwhile, the huge polluters of the world, like China and India will continue to belch the poison while America has already made huge strides to reduce pollution.  And even many of the socialist nations of Europe that are pushing it never meet their supposed standards while the proposers of the process jet set around the world to have caviar and champagne in Davos while they complain about us.  "Do as we say, not as we do," is their unspoken motto.

The sun, the source of our heat, is always the primary cause of climate change and it goes through cycles of high sun spot activity and then low, with the result being either warmer or  cooler temperatures.  The sun, just another natural creation of God just like all things on this earth, including us, is just serving its place to make earth inhabitable to live on.  When you see the light going out on the sun, which means it already happened about seven minutes earlier, that's the time to face the music of science. At that time, the deep freeze will come very, very quickly and we won't be able to do anything about it.  After all, we are frail and faulty man and have no ability to direct anything effectively and honestly without His love and grace. And many years ago when I was a boy growing in faith, a "denier" was someone who denied the existence of God. My, my, how times have changed.
