Now there is no question that the officers in question need to be tried and if convicted punished severely through the legal system and there is certainly nothing wrong with people mourning the death of Mr. Floyd. I get that. But to use George Floyd, a man with a significant record of illegal behavior as a poster child for a nationwide push to change the nation where he lived is way out of line. As a Minneapolis resident, it is well and good for his friends and neighborhood and community and even those back home in his hometown of Houston to mourn his loss if they wish. But to use the death of one man for the instant appearance of mobs to gather for two weeks and loot, burn, destroy and kill in cities far and near is not only despicable, it should be dealt with by the full force of the law, yet what do we see? We see leftist mayors refusing to end the carnage by force, instead allowing police officers to be at risk of serious bodily harm while being told to basically stand down. And, as often happens, those most hurt by such actions are the small business owners who, unlike major corporations, don't have the resources to rebuild from the damage as they were just getting reopened again. Governors, mayors and other elected officials are people living in a bubble. They always get paid on time, have plenty of perks and personal protection, yet they have no problem calling their citizenry selfish when they are only trying to protect their jobs and families and just basically live in a safe society. And since so many of these citizens are also being precluded from having personal weapons for protecting themselves and their loved ones, these same leaders are now jumping on the bandwagon to defund the police. Really? Sadly, we already know how that one will turn out and it will be crime on demand in a neighborhood near you.
One last point needs to be made that clearly takes the blinders off the entire charade, and frankly, I think that's what it is, a charade being perpetrated against us. We're just not sure how deep the complicity goes and who is actually involved. But remember how any objection to the shut down was met with such outrage, saying that those who wanted to stay open would likely kill us through exposure to others? Well, today we have mobs running with reckless abandon throughout the street and in extremely close contact. There have even been appearances by some of the most tyrannical governors on the subject of closure, including both Michigan Governor Whitmer and Pennsylvania Governor Wolf, both in close contact with protestors and supporting their marches while condemning those in their states who merely wanted to make a living. A picture is worth a thousand words and those two governors print an ugly one.
Folks, let's be serious. We can't have a productive and livable society without safety for all Americans. To answer to mobs by caving to their demands is not only wrong, it will lead to ultimate destruction. Antifa and Black Lives Matter have no intention to return the nation to peace and tranquility. They merely want to achieve their own selfish aims which, based upon past experience, includes a lot of violence and destruction. We must do better or we just won't continue to exist as America. It's just as simple as that. Remember that as you read the headlines that say the opposite and which are provided by a media which is no longer about the news, but about the leftist goals they now clearly support. Think for yourself and act accordingly come the November election. Your decision may very well determine if we are to live free going forward or find ourselves locked in chains.
