The picture shown above shows an even more formidable possibility which we previously would have look at as a science fiction type of action: an Electro-magnetic Pulse (EMP) explosion high above which will literally "fry" electronics circuitry and shut down most of the things required to live a modern life. And while we've known for decades of the possibility of such an event, America has nothing to shield her infrastructure while we continue with the prolific expenditure of things of much lesser consequence.
There is an excellent book available through Amazon and Kindle which gives a pretty frightening yet true picture of what the results of a successful EMP attack on America might look like. One Second After (A John Matherson novel) with foreword by Newt Gingrich is a fictional depiction of what would immediately happen after such an explosion. In a very short time, chaos would overtake order and life as we know it would disappear. And put this situation on top of those listed earlier, and so many other possibilities, it leave us with a huge answered question:
WHY WOULD AMERICA DO THIS TO HERSELF?
And here we're not talking about the huge majority of the patriotic and America loving citizens who want their country to remain a land of freedom and individual thought, no, we're talking about the troublemakers, the anarchists and those members of the government elites who do nothing while the nation comes apart at the seams. But it's not for this article to decide for anyone what the answer to the question is, rather, it is written to make others think about it. This writer has his own opinion and it is indeed ominous and we're probably at the point where if corrective action isn't taken soon, it very well might be too late.
As we think about the question, think about this. The prime purpose of government is to provide safety and security for her citizens. When we have open borders and accept anyone who desires to come here a blank check for entry, when we don't protect our resources and our critical infrastructure such as the grid, when we fail to prepare our children and place more constraints on and hostility toward our citizens than we do to our enemies, we face a huge problem. That's where we find ourselves today.
Wake up, America, it's later than we think.
