Really? Tell that to the father or mother who is now holding down two part-time jobs or more just trying to keep up with the cost of living and the support requirements for their children. These same folks probably had their permanent full-time job reduced to part-time by Obamacare and had to find the second job which, ironically, counts as a new job for employment numbers. Meanwhile, they are facing further difficulty because they can't afford the premiums for their now degraded healthcare coverage.
At the same time, more and more able bodied American blue collar workers are finding themselves replaced by the wave of illegals entering as our government actually provides the opportunities that were held by Americans and passes them to newcomers. There is also no end in sight as our borders remain wide open with those entering also potentially bringing the prospect of terrorist activity as well.
But there is something of much more concern caused by what is going on. As the balance of trade continues to be negative while we push for more of it on an unequal playing field, the debt mounts against America and there appears to be no way to ever balance things out. A debt that used to be in the millions and then billions is now in the trillions and it is so large that no one can even imagine the scope any longer. Yet the government continues onward in the same direction kind of like that Philadelphia Amtrak that rounded the bend at more than double the speed limit. When things like that happen, something has to give and in the case of our economy it's going to end up on the backs of our children and our grandchildren long after we are gone.
Do Americans really want their kids left destitute and in squalor in the country that used to be the richest on earth? Of course we don't but unless we demand action to clean up America's act and vote accordingly that will be what we left behind. It's time to think about it, folks, and stop accepting the rubbish that Obama and his cronies pass out regarding our economy daily. It is a disgrace to us, to our children and our grandchildren, and I'm sure that even the Lord Above is looking down at us and thinking what in the world has happened to my children in the formerly most wonderful place on earth?
Let's just stop spending what we don't have. No more deficit spending, no more imbalanced trade and no more borrowing against the future of our children. Balance the checkbook, Congress, put your traveling shoes back in the closet and get the job done. That's what you were elected to do and that's what must be done. No more excuses, period. That's the ticket to a future for America instead of her funeral. May the Good Lord help us get America back on the track upon which she was built. It's all up to us to apply the pressure to make that happen. Are we up to the job?
