This week a miraculous couple of events have taken place. First and foremost, the House of Representatives actually found its spine and decided to fight over Obamacare. While the battle is anything but won, and a very difficult road awaits in the Senate, this step has garnered the support of millions of Americans who just don't want government control of our healthcare and with it, control over our privacy and our lives in general. And the more action and publicity that Obamacare gets, the more Americans realize just how bad it is. So fight on, Conservatives, and take the battle to those who are afraid of the truth: the Democrats.
Another important event also took place this week that hasn't received lots of notice but is important just the same. The Gang of Eight, although already reduced to seven, has fallen totally apart in the House. This was a group of Republicans and Democrats who were trying to find a way to push forward a bad immigration bill. As of yesterday, all but one of the Republicans has pulled their membership, effectively scuttling it. And with the large number of Conservatives opposed to the proposal, and a large outreach by flyover country Americans, maybe, just maybe we can scuttle this bill as well.
Both of these events come on the heels of the wonderful positive signs the prior week: the gun control vote in Colorado where two legislators were recalled and the large and boisterous biker drive through in Washington in support of God and country. There is even talk of a large contingent of independent truckers taking their rigs to Washington to voice their displeasure as well with the way Washington is legislating.
You can also see the impact on the face and in the words of President Obama. He is getting very defensive and very testy and his bouncy step has been replaced by an almost snarling countenance. Sorry, Mr. President, but America didn't expect the type of change you are pushing and if you are smart you will get with OUR program, not YOURS.
So as I go out this morning to feed my animals, I feel the cool breath of autumn that is gradually sweeping into Florida. And I think I also feel the change of American sentiment that is now filling the air. Keep up the good work, Patriots. Never surrender, keep at it and with the help of a merciful God we can win this battle for the heart and soul of the land we love. God bless you all. Now, relax today, have some fun, and root for your team. But don't forget church tomorrow morning. He'll be looking for you.
