Syria has depended on Russian support for its very existence under the Assad regime and in recent years she has been the only Middle Eastern country strongly tied to Russia. Egypt, a country tied to the Russians in the middle twentieth century, drew much closer to the United States in the years leading up to and after the Camp David accords, but this has all changed since Obama's support, some say creation by our prior actions, of the Arab Spring. It resulted in his support of a rogue Muslim Brotherhood candidate for President, Mohamed Morsi. But when the Army, the most respected institution in Egypt found Morsi attempting to turn the nation into an Islamic fundamental state, they overthrew his government to retain the long standing secular focus of the land. President el-Sisi tried to start a positive dialogue with America, was dissed, and as a last resort has opened dialogue with the Russians since America clearly wants no dealing with him.
And now we find Israel right in the middle of a nightmare with Russia and Iran working together, even including the Chinese in an offshore capacity, to keep Assad in power with more adversarial weaponry and manpower closer and closer to the Jewish state. And it all started with Obama's desire to pull American forces out of the region (Iraq) before the situation was suitable and now America finds itself closer to a hot war than ever. Well, America, when you elect an arrogant man as President who has no clue what is involved in military affairs, international relations and diplomacy, you get just what you don't want by the bucketful.
We'll talk about this frightening development tonight on North Florida Writer Live at 9 pm in our short take: SYRIA-THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING AND AMERICA RETREATS. As we always do the show will then be available 24/7 for all who want to listen. Here's the link:
Remember, the more we know the better we can prepare for whatever might follow. May God always bless America and her troops wherever they serve. Keep them safe and secure, Lord, and bring them back to their loved ones when their duty is done.
