Oh, the poor Establishment, so spoiled that they think they can click their fingers and everyone comes running but, then again, they got away with it for generations and never considered the people would turn their back on them. It's a unique and one of a kind campaign, folks, so like it or not we are witnessing history in the making.
Some Americans want more of a Jeffersonian approach while others like a "tough guy" like Andrew Jackson. Donald Trump and Ted Cruz offer differing approaches which approach to some degree positions of that variety, but as the season goes on, Trump seems to have pulled away and is practically a lock because of the more "tough guy" approach. It would still be nice to think the smarts and talents of Cruz could be incorporated into the end result to end this year in a rousing success. Will it be possible to mend the differences? It doesn't look so right now but the "Never" approach would be a disaster, allowing the control freak known as Hillary or worse to continue the nation on it's current disastrous course.
Many love Trump, the presumptive nominee, while others despise him. Yet it's refreshing to see someone who throws out the politically correct nonsense America has been putting up with and finally speak about what concerns average Americans. While some say he won't do anything he proposes, others believe everything he says and somehow it will likely come out somewhere in between. But the fact is clear: the Republican National Committee overplayed its hand by refusing to listen after gaining big victories and is now paying the price. They truly deserve whatever they get.
Join North Florida Writer Live at 10 am as we discuss what's going on. We'll look at those who made the mistakes that led us to where we are today, review a few of the players who violated the people's trust and talk about some of the crazy attempts by some to try and stop what is likely to happen. My weekly guest Mark Collier will join me for what should be a rousing session. Who knows, we might just even throw in a little bit of Howard Beale. Hope you'll join us live or on demand thereafter.
