One of his best contributors calling in routinely to talk about the good things in life is an elderly lady who I only know as Lucy. She lives in rural Florida like me, loves animals and the beauty of nature and has a great love for life. I've never met her, but I feel like I know her from her positive comments, for they are an inspiration for keeping your head up no matter what is happening in life. She is of limited means, has some serious health problems and is in the final stage of her life and has been absent from the show for a while......until this morning.
Her voice was frail and weak this morning, but her heart was full and she called in to just say how wonderful life is and expressed her thanks for long life and happiness. She is a gutsy lady and refuses to give up on life as long as a breath is left in her body and will no doubt occupy a favored spot in Heaven when her days do finally come to an end.
I want to thank this wonderful lady who I know only by voice for always being upbeat, having good thoughts and sharing them with the listening audience. We need positive thoughts in our life, especially in a world that is in so many ways upside down. And we should all be ashamed of ourselves when we envy others for what they have and we need to always strive to make the best decisions with our God given free will and trust Him to lead us down the path that He wants for us. It is clearly evident that Lucy does, and I am very thankful for it. And I'm also very thankful to Bob and Jay for closing their show with this segment which kicks off the rest of my day in a positive and uplifting fashion.
God bless you both and God bless you, Lucy, for just being who you are. God has many messengers on earth who further His work; you should be proud to know that you are an important one.
