Meanwhile, our illustrious Golfer-in-Chief spends about five minutes worrying about our multiple overseas crisis situations and then is once again off for another vacation. After putting us on the hook over the last five and one-half years for $44 million in vacation expenses, he once again goes to tony Martha's Vineyard where he mixes it up with liberal fatcats and plays golf while living in the lap of luxury.
It is kind of ironic that it came out yesterday that Obama stated back in 2008 when running for his first term that a President trades his personal life for the good of the country when he takes office. He included in that statement words about how his personal sleep, family time, and yes, even vacations, had to be taken off the table while he occupied that Oval Office. Really, Mr. President, you really said that? Oh, that's right, I forgot that always believe the opposite of what you say and we get the truth. I got it now.
Seriously folks, we have a man in the White House who truly shows no real interest in his job and of course has shown us that he also has neither the temperament or the talent for the position he holds. Everything he has touched, from medical care (Obamacare), national security (hightailing it home from international obligations as fast as we can despite the consequences), and border security (which is now non-existent), to personal involvement in decision-making and dealing with Congress (he berates and makes fun instead of meeting and openly dealing with opposite viewpoints) has been a dismal failure. And his choice of key personnel, from John Kerry to Eric Holder and, finally, to Kathleen Sibelius and Chuck Hagel, show that he is intent upon being totally surrounded by a group who are in lock step with him or in awe of him instead of being people of high character who will stand for what is right and will apply some good old fashioned common sense.
So I guess it's appropriate considering the man that he would be swimming, playing golf, eating ice cream and riding his girlie bike with the goofy helmet at a swanky resort while the rest of the country needs leadership. Come to think of it, since the man has absolutely no understanding or grasp of leadership, maybe it's a good thing that he's away. Except for one thing; who's pulling the strings in the White House while he's away. Is it Valerie Jarrett or even someone less well recognized.
We're in for a terrible final two years of this train wreck of a Presidency, my friends. Time to get your seat belts on tight. It's g.
