But down here in Florida, the first day of fall can sometimes be just like another summer day, for summer here frequently goes from late April until mid-October, so we're still in the heat and humidity. But if we look at the trees which show signs of change and the coats on the animals which are getting thicker, we know that climate change is on the way. We don't think about it much these days in the hype of global warming and government dictating so much that rejects common sense, but fall is just one of the natural cycles of climate change that the earth goes through. And it's because so much of our life is dependent on the sun and the angle of direction of the rays toward us as well as the existence, or lack thereof, of solar storms and flare ups.
We humans think we are so smart and that we can outpoint nature on so much that we do. But as we have seen and are seeing, we can't control the sun and we can't even with accuracy predict the weather for tomorrow. We certainly can't control a hurricane or a tornado but we think we can predict long term future when we've failed at that for generations. Sailors for years have predicted weather much more accurately than we often do. It goes like this:
"Red skies in morning, sailors take warning.
Red skies at night, sailors delight."
Now I'm not trying to say that man isn't advanced and that he doesn't have the capacity to do great things. No, I'm not saying that at all. But when we try to use computer models to predict the future knowing full well that large swing cycles have always existed with the world's climate. Yet we ignore them over and over, preferring "hockey stick" models and other such nonsense which have thousands of other scientists mocking them.
God controls nature and instead of trying to ignore His guidance, perhaps a little more reliance on Him would do us all a lot of good. But I will ask everyone to do this: apply that little saying above, particularly on those days which are mostly clear, and see what happens. And check through the internet or whatever source you like the state of sunspots, flares and solar storms ongoing. It will give you some good general guidance about what is going on.
We've got enough problems to solve without thinking we can control the temperature of our earth. Why not try to rid ourselves of the poisoning of our waters and development places which are clearly unfit for man? And what about protecting our infrastructure from such things as an electro-magnetic pulse attack? Experts have been reporting on this for years and our government does nothing, yet such an attack would literally take our society back to the 1800s. We've done so much to destroy the earth and there is so much that we can do where we can influence things for the good. And besides, if you think that Russia, China and such nations are going to give up what they do for the United Nations, you must be dreaming. They really see most of these actions as a way to just tie America up in knots and, frankly, they are doing a good job of it from this writer's perspective.
How about using a little more common sense instead? And how about we get back to the idea of asking God bless America because we recognize both His power and His glory. He has the answers; all we need to do is ask and listen.
God bless you all.
