There can be many reasons for what is happening to our society. These include lack of good parental upbringing, loss of belief in a Higher Being to develop our discernment of what is right and wrong, and even in our educational and political systems which more and more become captive to political correctness rather than the truth. We lose patience in any views other than our own and try to force our views on others, something that never works out in a world created with each of us having the option to make free will choices of our own. And a good example of where it can lead happened here in North Florida this week when the Governor of Florida stopped by a Gainesville Starbucks outlet and was verbally assaulted by someone who thought bad language was a good substitute for a calm and rational comment.
The "you're wrong, I'm right" attitude is found everywhere today and it is driving Americans more and more in different directions, the split seriously fracturing our society and making it harder and harder to come up with the necessary agreements in life to keep society orderly. We'll talk about this on this weekend's Sunday Morning Coming Down. It is now up and running on Blog Talk Radio and available 24/7. Here's the link:
Sunday Morning Coming Down is my North Florida Writer Live weekend devotional which is presented to show how God loves us and why He gave us His only Son, Jesus Christ, sacrificed for us on the Cross so that we might believe in Him, live for Him and ultimately join Him in Eternity when life on this earth is done. I hope you'll tune in and listen for America definitely needs to get Him in her heart. God bless you all.
