But while the great strides of our founders in creating a nation of freedom are wonderful in and of themselves, the thought of freedom and life devoid of the involvement of God would leave it very hollow and less than fully satisfying. After all, God is our Creator and He created us in his image, wanting to live like Him and for Him. He knew, however, that we would falter in that quest since we were mere mortal sinners, so He sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins.
His death gave us the opportunity to receive the gift of forgiveness for our sins, but only if we accepted it by believing in Him and living for Him. And He even went so far as to send the Third Person of God, The Holy Spirit, to us after His Ascension from earth back to the Father. This, then, completes the requirement for real freedom and true life, for when we accept His forgiveness and commit to Him, we receive freedom from sin and eternal life. The Founders knew it and we do, too, when we open ourselves to Him.
The show is already up and running and available 24/7. We'll have the message, short scripture, prayer and good music including the beautiful song God Bless America sung by the artist who really brought it out to the public many years ago, Kate Smith. No one can do justice to that song with the energy and persuasive delivery it deserves like the late and great Kate.
