Looking at all that is happening and what the media is saying it is inescapable to miss the conclusion that the why of what is going on is all in one name: TRUMP. The mainstream media hates President Trump and their vile and vinegar on all things bad in this land is directed at him like has never been seen in American history. If he does something really good and he has done much, it is bad. If he does something the think is bad, they call it catastrophic. Yet they make their pronouncements based upon their factual deficiencies and their emotion of hate and the result is absolute nonsense. Let's just take a short moment and look at the three areas listed in the title above: Stocks, Oil and CoVid19, for when all three subjects acted in consonance with one another, the media jumped on them with glee, claiming that each item had a common cause, again TRUMP.
1. The Stock Market. The stock market it always fickle. All it takes is the right rumor to gain traction and the market can swing wildly very fast. Anything that can be seen as slowing down things in China is like a red mark and put both China and a said-to-be virus of the century together and a drop in the market results. It is always unstable and when you apply uncertainty, all goes haywire. It kind of looks like a kindergarten class when the kids don't want to take a nap. Chaos can result unless there is a good teacher to bring order. The stock market needs that teacher, particularly when day traders have the capability to buy and cell in mere seconds with huge volumes. Yet, the President always gets the blame when things go down but never gets the credit when they go up. And while it's true that the President can never be by himself the cause of any result, in the case of Trump he always gets the blame when there is blame to be passed around.
2. The Oil Resource. Yesterday the word was out that oil was dropping in price like a rock because of the CoronaVirus. The media pushed it hard, claiming that the cutback in oil needs by industrialized nations caused by the CoronaVirus impact on normal life was doing it. Yet, within hours we found out that the real culprit was Saudi Arabia flooding the market with oil in a retaliatory measure against Russia's trying to steal the market. Saudi was betting they could do it short term and bring Russia to her knees but such action would likely hurt both nations at a time when the world's reliance is much less with the emergence of the United States in recent years as the largest oil supplier in the world. In no way was Trump responsible for the Russia-Saudi contest over rights to supply oil. We were just another competitor in the marketplace, a major one. Yes, the battle between the two competitive countries, particularly now with Saudi Arabia no longer dominating the world market, causes price drops, but it is more detrimental to those two countries than the world at large and, besides, the cut in price serves actually as a benefit to American and world consumers.
The CoronaVirus (CoVid19). This new viral infection with a flu like makeup is problematic for sure, but the hype about where it is going doesn't seem to match up with the panic. The number od cases in both China and South Korea, the two nations with the highest infection volume, are starting to come down in number meaning it has likely peaked. And again, one can't blame Trump since the United States did not create the problem and, in fact, American resources were being prepped for action before China even officially announced they had a problem as they tried to hide it as long as they could.
So, add all three of these components together and they combine to allow a news media, both print and airwaves versions, which no longer has as its mission providing accurate news as its goal, to perpetuate what they want you to believe into just that if you accept it on face value. A biased presentation of happenings based upon what the media seeks is its desired result. With over ninety-three percent of our so-called journalist openly admitting to being of the Democratic left persuasion, it is manipulated to put the blame for all things on Trump and we've seen this go on since before he was even elected. Now it is only worse as they contemplate that it is quite likely he will be reelected for another four year term. They are in panic mode, just like their stories and headline, so get ready. Want to stop this madness? When you read or hear/see something that is reported as news, evaluate it critically. Does it make sense? What is your gut reaction to it? If this sets off a warning to you, dig a little deeper and it will either make sense or not pass the smell test. It will help you make judgments much more accurately and when we all do this, we can help put the bias to rest and that's good for all of us.
