Walking into the barn, I quickly realized that I had to change my outlook and started conversing with God. Now I've written before about continuous prayer and it is nothing more than keeping the conversation going with God about things that you do and it really helps. Even though he knows everything there is to know about me, including things I don't even know, I told him about the oppressive early morning heat and humidity, how I just didn't feel motivated, but knew I had to feed the horses and other animals to start their day. Soon I felt better and I realized He was reaching me, but I still asked Him to let me know that He was listening in whatever manner He wished. I finished my chores and straightened up a few things in the barn and as I prepared to walk back to the house, I noticed that fog had enveloped us, probably caused by the added heat of sunshine against the high humidity. The fog bank filled the air from ground level upward about twenty feet. I could vaguely see the blue sky above and knew that the fog would burn off in minutes, but it was a mystical, slightly spooky sight with noise completely muffled.
As I reached the front deck and prepared to walk up the steps and enter the house to fix my own breakfast, I looked toward the west with the milky, misty haze slowly beginning to melt. Looking up above the trees, there was my answer from God. A partial rainbow appeared, much like the picture shown. I tried to take a picture with my phone but it didn't take, so I just stood there in awe of the beauty of His nature and what it said to me. It was a very simple thing, but it signified a lot to me, for it just is one more little example of how God is ever present, always listening and waiting for us to let Him in our life. He knows all about it, of course, but He wants to hear it from us directly for He loves us so. It was just another simple event but one which meant so much. I hope all of you have the same experience sometimes, for it is so special and it helps keep me on the path following His Way. After all, if you rally want to Live, there is no other Way.
