Well, I think this past week we got a good peak at what it's all about and, believe me, it's not about protecting the desert tortoise. As in other things, follow the money and it will usually take you to a politician and therein will lie the answer.
The government is very fearful that if the average American really finds out what is going on with public land and who is benefitting from the action, it could very well spark a huge outcry of protest that they won't be able to quell. In the case of the Bundy Ranch episode which we know was presented as a law violating rancher abusing a desert tortoise preservation effort, the truth was entirely opposite. In fact, the feds have actually been destroying the tortoises since they didn't have the resources to do what they said they wanted to do which was to give them a safe home. What's more, they want to use our sacred land in a deal with a foreign and unfriendly government for a special crony capitalism project which will benefit none other than Harry Reid and his son.
Think about it. Do you think it was a coincidence that the breaking news of Harry Reid's efforts to bring a Chinese solar farm to the area resulted in the feds at least temporarily standing down from the Bundy Ranch? And, of course, now Harry Reid is coming out complaining that an American citizen can't be allowed to violate the law with impunity and he warns that the matter isn't over. Harry's been breaking laws for years, using a corrupted political system to further his interests while we begin to wallow in less and less of the benefits that God so blessed this country with.
Every God-fearing American needs to come to the realization that government land is our land, it's not meant to be used for clandestine deals and operations that benefit the few while the many pay the costs. The idea of national parks and military installations we all understand is necessary, but when a government that threatens her own citizens with firepower makes demands involving violence and force against us, it is time to change direction. Each of us must speak up and stand for freedom and liberty. Ending the abuse of power by an oppressive government is just one of the mindset items that our politicians must change. If they are not willing to do so, we need to replace them with people who will.
The Bundy Ranch scenario is just one example of a land grab that is insatiable. The thirst for power and riches using national resources and treasures is just one way that tyranny shows its ugly face. The drive toward the UN's Agenda 21 is likely the goal, with an oligarchy instead of a democratically based government deciding who will have the privilege to possess what. If we refuse to defend our rights, ultimately they will all be stripped and none will be more noticeable than the abuse of our private property rights. Stand for your rights, stand united, and let's make the Founders proud. Let's end the madness starting with the 2014 elections.
God save the United States of America.
