So, what about some of the key players in this pathetic soap opera? Well, while they have all largely disappeared from the mainstream media since they have used them as much as they could, some things are happening. They are worth mentioning for they show a little bit more of the character, or lack thereof, of a several of them.
Christine Blasey Ford, the prime instigator publicly, has turned it into a wealth magnet. As expected, she got a book deal and word has it a one million dollar advance. Not only that, but her Go Fund Me page added another one million dollars in contributions, which she promptly put in her bank account. She needs to be careful what she says in print that could come back to bite her. Maybe she should just make it a fiction.
Michale Avenatti didn't make out so well. He's the man masquerading as an accomplished attorney who brought out Julie Swetnick with a sordid account of her attending the high school parties as a college student on many occasions while witnessing rape as well as being raped herself. Avenatti has since had several judgements against him in the millions of dollars and has been forced to vacate his Lost Angeles law office due to lack of payment of the rent. Now he's talking about a run for President against President Trump in 2020. Please, Michael, bring it on, I beg you.
As for Swetnick herself, since she later admitted the stories weren't true, she has since been referred to the Justice Department for prosecution by Chairman Grassley of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
There is one other case of interest by an anonymous woman now living in Kentucky who claimed to be another victim the preppers. She has since been identified. This woman is the one that Senator Kamala Harris was championing during the hearings, flashing the anonymous letter around for the cameras to see. Well, the woman just recently stated that she made it all up, that it was part of the playbook to get Kavanaugh. She is also being recommended for prosecution.
And how about Brett Kavanaugh himself? Well, he's now sitting on the Supreme Court, of course, and already lending his verbal comments to a strict constitutional view as a Justice, not as a creator, but an interpreter, of the Law. Justice Sotomayor has already made statements in public appearances showing her outrage for a Justice supporting real legal justice, not a politically correct version of the law. And he also received significant funding support from a Go Fund Me page, which netted over six hundred thousand dollars. What did he do with the money? Why he donated it in total to Catholic Charities. I think that his actions speak louder than words.
Will more unfold from this sad situation that we all witnessed? Who knows, but I thought it was worth bringing up since the points are conveniently avoided by the mainstream media. And I, for one, am just thankful that a good man weathered the storm by honestly and forcefully defending his honor and is continuing on with positive influence on our society. An other outcome would have been a great loss for our nation.
