So how about a good dose of the truth? Is it such a problem for the National Republicans? Apparently it is but, then again, we all know the reason. The National Republicans are owned and operated by the Chamber of Commerce and its crony-capitalist large business members who don't "give a lick" about what the American people think. They are so self-absorbed and convinced that they know better than the average American what is best.
Not only is their concept of America not best, it will destroy the country if we continue down that road. It incluces more welfare and more "free stuff", loss of culture and identity, giving illegal aliens more support than our own citizens receive, a public school global mush curriculum and budget busting, to name just a few. By their actions they have also shown that they really aren't very smart. They are just cunning and untruthful.
So Donald Trump has come along and asked the tough questions. He has started with the immigration fiasco and now he is beginning to talk about Common Core, which certainly must have the "Bushies" all in a tizzy. Good for Donald and I hope he keeps it up. It is refreshing to see someone come along who is not beholden to the fat cat donors who represent an international bias, not one that is dedicated to America. Yes, we have to work with the rest of the world but we also need to maintain our own sovereignty where the ultimate decisions rest with the consent of the American people. And that's where the Washington crowd, both parties, has gone so wrong.
And I also want to comment on remarks I read on RedState from it's editor, Erick Erickson. He stated that Donald as anything but conservative and that he is just using this opportunity as an opportunist. With all due respect to Mr. Erickson, with what we see going on in Washington and the inability of our good conservatives to make a difference, the need exists for a "two by four to the head" of the political class and that is what Trump is providing.
I know that men like Ted Cruz and Rand Paul are trying to make a stand, but the problem is they don't have the resources to really do it. No matter what they do, they will still be beholden to the fat cats to campaign and with that comes the "pay back chit." And that's where a guy like Trump comes in. He is not required to be beholden to anyone and can therefore really devote his efforts the the salvation of the country that I know he loves.
And whether he is really conservative or not one thing is for sure. Since we have voted for Republican control in both houses of Congress, nothing has happened that is conservative because they won't really fight. So if Trump is working to make America first and return us to sanity and fiscal solvency, I'm all for it. Let's just wait a while and see how it washes out.
I am thankful to Donald Trump for making a stand and I trust he will continue forward to make sure the tough questions get answered by all candidates. Keep at it Donald, you are gaining steam and America is looking on proudly. God bless America; let's bring prosperity and freedom back.
