Well, it's not, so buck up, put a smile on your face and get ready for the day. Vow to keep that smile all day and offer a cheerful "Good morning" to those you pass on your way to work. Keep a positive attitude, be pleasant to your co-workers and you'll find that your spirits will naturally brighten and your day will go better. And before you know it, Friday afternoon will be here again and you'll be ready for some more fun.
Why not put a smiley face on your mirror, maybe a list of the ten most wonderful people or things that you have in your life or, if you are religious, you might want to list your blessings from God. Whatever you choose, do something to remind yourself each morning of why your life is a good one and why you need to be thankful. And when you live realizing that, those around you will be thankful for the new you as well.
Oh, it's not easy sometimes, but it takes less effort to smile than to frown and be grumpy and, besides, your appearance is so much better. So get with the program, be the best you can be and don't worry about the things that you have no control over. Use your energy on those things that you CAN have an impact on and with a positive outlook you'll be surprised at the outcome.
Ask God to help you with a little prayer each morning. He knows life is rough but he knows that He gave you a good mind and a strong heart so that you can use your free will in the right way. And you might even sing a a little song that came out years ago by Bobby McFerrin: "Don't Worry, Be Happy".
