But we still have to go through September, which is actually one of the hottest months here and we probably have a few tropical systems that hopefully will not become too severe. Looking at the good side, however, it is Saturday, a day for sleeping an extra thirty winks or getting up early not for work but for fishing. And we even have the time for an extra cup of coffee, leisurely enjoying it instead of gulping it down before rushing to the car.
So whatever your plans on another hot and humid day in the Sunshine State, be safe but have some fun. We are blessed to live in a place where there is so much to see and do, but let's just hope that we keep the common sense not to further destroy our local treasures.
And for those of you who live up north and are snickering about our heat plight, just remember. When the ice and blizzards come and you can never seem to get your feet warm, we'll be down here in the sun, wearing shorts nearly year round. But seriously, folks, we are so blessed to live in a land with so much variety and beauty. Savor it, protect it and enjoy it. And after your mind is cleared of the workweek cobwebs and you think back on what a great day today has been, remember tomorrow to go visit the One who created you and thank Him for His love and grace. You'll feel better and you will have pleased Him.
Happy Saturday and God bless you all.
