While the mainstream media has completely ignored this story, a group of fifteen seasoned Obama campaign staff headed by Jeremy Bird is now in Israel working to defeat Prime Minister Netanyahu in next month's election. Obama has denied this vigorously, but both the Jerusalem Post and Haaretz, two newspapers on different sides of the political spectrum, have cited clear evidence for the truth to the claim. And since Obama's ire has been routinely seen toward the Prime Minister as he more clearly shows his favoritism toward the Palestinians daily, it is logical to reach the conclusion that the story is true.
And while there is a significant minority of Israelis who have always been opposed to a strong war footing, Netanyahu has a commanding support base due to his strong stands against Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran. That he does so is certainly justified by past experience and most Israelis understand that these are the most trying of times. Israel defends herself against aggression on her small land mass, agrees to repeated cease fires and truces, only to find the Palestinian supporters repeatedly break the agreements. All the while Obama is demanding that the split off even more land, follow his guidelines on where they can develop in their own country while he publicly rebukes them. Netanyahu has shown remarkable calmness in dealing with this man who thinks he knows all but has experience in practically nothing.
The irony of Obama's position is that he is always preaching for democracy when in fact his actions belie his real feelings which are quite to the contrary. After all, Israel is the only democratic government in the Middle East, even allowing her Arab citizenry the right to vote. There are even some Arab politicians in the legislature and they have freedom of movement and action in the country as long as they don't incite violence.
Compare that position to Saudi Arabia where Christians can't worship and women can't drive. Obama is once again clearly on the wrong side of the issue as he continues to pander to those who would harm us and he won't even use the term Islamic extreme terrorism under any circumstance. It truly makes one wonder what his true agenda is and makes many shudder at the thought.
So, Americans, we should stand strong with the Israeli people, demand that our President politely butt out of their internal affairs and pray that a strong and courageous leader remains in power in the Jewish state. After all, we have enough evidence right here at home of what weakness and arrogance can do to a country. It's not a very pretty picture, is it? Just stay out of Israeli affairs, Mr. President, you have enough self-created disasters to deal with right here at home to more than keep you busy until the end of your term. Oh, for that day to come.
