Arriving at the meeting, I learned that the airport had been closed and we turned on a TV to hear and see the horrific reason. The meeting was quickly cancelled, but thankfully I was able to arrange using my rental car to drive home with no extra charges. Even the hardest nosed of business people knew that special consideration was required throughout the land on that day.
It was a long drive, arriving very late at night and I had not been able to see any of the scenes which every radio commentator was discussing. Arriving at home, my wife was sitting up, watching TV while awaiting my safe return. As I walked in the door and looked at the screen, the video of the picture above was running. The emotion in me which had been pent up all day finally burst out and I broke down in tears.
That was, of course, nearly fifteen years ago and all Americans came together for a short time with determination to never let this happen again. America rose up and struck back hard, but in the process we made some strategic and tactical mistakes. We didn't realize the full scope and hate of our attackers and their willingness to drop back and just wait. And wait they did, biding their time for a moment when they could renew their push to take over the world but with a different tactic. We just played patsy to their game.
So here we are fifteen years later and we've seen Islamic terror sweep the world including multiple attacks here in America, while our government not only refuses to identify the culprits but goes out of its way to avoid the truth. Events such as Fort Hood, the Boston Marathon massacre, San Bernardino and Orlando have taken place with the same response from our delusional leadership. And, of course, Europe is under siege as their leaders take the same tack as ours with only a few exceptions. Are we mad? Are we facing a menace with an even more menacing cause such as the creation of a New World Order to supposedly "resolve" the issues that the nations seem unwilling to do on their own? And if any of these things are even close to the truth, what do we do?
Well, the British are looking at a possible answer by declaring their own sovereignty from Europe via Brexit. Many see this happening in the United States as well with the rise of Donald Trump but that, of course, remains to be seen both in terms of who will win the election and what will actually be done. But regardless of the answer and what the future holds, America must be willing to admit who the enemy is, resolve to both protect our nation with operational borders and internal strength and vow to destroy the beast that is trying to conquer the world. Unless we have that resolve, it won't matter what we do and we'll likely find ourselves unrecognizable in a few short years. After all, we're already well down that road.
It's important that we pray for those good people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time and that we also ask for the Holy Spirit to open the hearts of those perpetrators who have caused all of the carnage. But when we deal with an enemy that is possessed by pure evil and has hardened its heart, prayer alone is not what God expects. In such cases we must do those things necessary to cut the cancer out of the body of God's creation and that's what is required. Let's ask God for divine inspiration in our cause and do what it takes to turn not only America but the world around where we can. America is certainly worth it and if we don't stand for what we know to be right and just and defend those worthy of protection, we will deserve what we get. God bless America and may she ever be free as the beacon of hope and light for the world. Let's turn around sharply while we still can. America as we love her, a nation under God, is worth whatever it takes.
