If you believe but can't get to church, might I suggest the Bible Broadcasting Network out of Charlotte, North Carolina, which has many affiliated radio stations through the country. They have wonderful programming on Sundays, and every day for that matter, including hymns, devotionals, Bible readings, as well as traditional sermons based upon the Word.
One minister I particularly like on their Sunday schedule is an international evangelist named Ravi Zacharias. Originally from India, when he speaks he sounds Scottish. For the longest time I thought his first name was Robbie, since I have a Scottish family background. He previously lived in London and Canada and now his ministry is based out of Atlanta although he covers the world.
This wonderful preacher of the Word is a gifted speaker with a message that brings us back to the basics. Without God, we are nothing; with Him, we are everything. He loves us and wants us to be successful because of our faith and desire to end our sinning ways. He knows we will always be sinners, but He forgives us if we ask Him sincerely and work hard and commit to ending our sin.
Americans, today we Christians need this reassurance I think more than ever before. We are under assault in ways I would have never believed could happen in America and we must stand up for what we believe. Remember, God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the Cross for our sins. So what are we worried about? If we trust and believe in Him and follow His commandments any suffering that we must face will only be temporary and no one can stop us from reaching our ultimate destination with the Father and His Son.
So worship Him today wherever you are and spread the word. It's time for each of us to be 21st century Apostles for Jesus Christ. Let's stop procrastinating and making excuses. Let's just do it.
God bless each of you and have a wonderful and peaceful Sunday. Worship your God and then enjoy family and friends.
