Now things have suddenly gotten worse. When Obama started pushing for the "Dream Act" to allow young aliens open approval to stay in America, the word quickly got out south of the border that kids would not be turned back. As expected, thousands have flooded the Southwest, principally through Texas, and as a result the Border Patrol can't handle the influx. Most of these children are unescorted, many from Guatemala and points further south, having managed the trek through a dangerous Mexico to the "promised land".
So what does the government do? They turn them loose, saying that it is a humanitarian crisis, and they have dropped them off at bus stations primarily in Arizona. Shamefully, I think this is Obama's payback for Gov. Jan Brewer's wagging of her finger in his face in a well known photo that was seen all over the country. So now these kids have been dispatched all over the country and local communities will be dealing with the havoc of this lawless activity by their own government.
And to make matters worse, the spineless leadership of the RINO Republicans wants to work a deal with Obama. They want to work a deal to "solve" the problem that Obama, by design, and they, through their weakness, created and it will all be paid for by we citizens who are stuck with the disaster that they are creating. And I want to single out House Minority Leader Eric Cantor for special notice of disdain, for he has been talking out of both sides of his mouth for months while all the while being a paid hack for the Chamber of Commerce alongside John "I Feel Like Crying" Boehner. Boehner should be crying; crying for the sovereignty of his country that he is trying his utmost to give away.
Outside of the federal government which obviously is the cause of the problem, what can be done? Well, there are several things, but they will take some leaders at the state and local levels to have some backbone. First, governors in the impacted border states can nationalize the National Guard and enforce their own borders. I would challenge the federal government directly and tell them that since you are not concerned with the safety of law abiding Americans, we will do it ourselves. And in this same regard, local police should make a special effort to be on the lookout for large numbers of illegals showing up and causing local problems. Again, just keep the heat on the feds and make it a public issue with the ensuing publicity which will get the word out.
What about citizens themselves? Report, report, report. Every violation of law you see that is due to federal deficiency should be reported both to local officials as well as your elected leaders. Flood the capital with the message using that famous line from Peter Finch in Network: "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore."
And in one particular Congressional district in Virginia, the Seventh, primary voters have the opportunity to rid the Congress of one of the biggest advocates of the current immigration lawbreaking. They can defeat Eric Cantor, the Republican Majority Leader of the House who is walking in lockstep with the National Chamber of Commerce in its push for cheap labor, labor that will result in millions of lower skilled Americans losing out in the workforce. Vote for Dave Brat, the Economics Professor from Randolph-Macon College who is bravely challenging Cantor despite being at a 20-1 campaign war chest disadvantage. Reports indicate that Brat has significantly cut into Cantor's polling lead, however, and if America loving, law abiding want to see America as a nation of laws again they will go to the polls and pull the big upset.
Wherever you are in America and whatever you do for a living don't let the politicos tell you that they will do whatever they want about immigration no matter what you think. Just tell them that they had better "straighten up and fly right" or they'll be flown right out of office. And then do it when you vote next time. I don't know about you, but I will never vote for any politician who has, or in the future does, condone this current activity by our government. Any of them who does so has clearly lost any trust they may have had and are a disgrace to my country.
Stop the madness and let's show them who is the boss.
