If you remember the decades old song by Ray Stevens, The Streak, I borrowed the basic phrase just substituting the last word. And I did so because here in the last few days of the campaign for President, Hillary's shriek and its accompanying screech are becoming more and more commonplace on the campaign. Beset with pressure from the Wikileaks releases and FBI investigation, and with her poll numbers tanking and followers dwindling at campaign stops, she is showing signs of panic and desperation.
Despite the pressure from the DOJ on the FBI and the constant drone of poll results which use inaccurate vote samples to show a dramatic Hillary lead in the home stretch, her campaign is literally coming apart at the seams. And Donald Trump has picked up on it, presenting his position on the issues while also detailing her shortfalls and, at the same time shown a quick learning curve on how to campaign. He has toned down his rhetoric while staying on point and it shows as the polls are shifting quickly.
Meanwhile, Hillary has resorted to the shriek while calling Donald a friend of the KKK and other such nonsense, while she tries to hide from the Clinton Foundation record, her State Department performance record and the graft and corruption which is coming out in volumes each day. And thanks to those brave FBI agents in the "trenches" who refuse to stand down to the DOJ, realizing that they had come up the "mother lode" of incriminating documentation. Even the NYPD has gotten in on the action with vigor.
On average, early voting percentages show increases for both Republican voters and independents while Democrat numbers are shrinking. So the shriek is a result of the reality which is beginning to surround the Clinton campaign.
In politics, of course, nothing is definite until the results are final, so anything can happen. But clearly the tide is changing from what the pundits and prognosticators were so sure of and even the late bettors in Las Vegas are picking Trump by ninety-one percent. So time will tell.
Enjoy the weekend, relax and spend some peaceful time with your family and, on Sunday, with the Lord. But then Monday, get fired up again, get out there and vote Tuesday and let's see if the Movement to Drain the Swamp comes true on Tuesday night. Now is the time and it's an event that we are likely never to see the likes of again.
Let's make America great again.
