As the leader of a nation which claims over seventy-five percent of her citizens to be of Christian descent, Obama delivered an error prone and childish attack on Christianity as he continues to ignore the truth of today's world. It was disgusting and inaccurate and it did more to promote dissension by far than it did to build the unity the event was supposed to aid. But then again, it is typical of this man of dogma and rabid ideology which is clearly designed to bring this nation down. And finally Americans are really getting it and they aren't happy.
When Obama used the Crusades as a means of trying to explain away ISIS terror using relativism, there were two critical problems. The first was timing. The Crusades were conducted over one thousand years ago and they have no relevance to our supposed more civilized lifestyle, particularly when ISIS is using medieval terror techniques. But this is really on a minor issue; the second problem is much more severe.
The Crusades were not a planned aggressive action without a real cause. For four hundred years before they took place, Muslim hordes had been ransacking Christian communities throughout North Africa and finally into what today is Israel and the City of God, Jerusalem. They used the same terror methodology as used today including slavery, rape, beheading, stoning and even crucifixion. The Crusades involved the Christian West reclaiming the Christian religious territories by the only way it could be done, using force.
For Obama to claim he is a Christian and then make such an unsupportable and really juvenile speech at an event that was designed to bring differing religious leaders together is really unforgivable and it makes us all question his character and the nature of whatever religion he really has, if any. Candidly, I never did see Obama as being a religious man and believing in God since he operates as if he really thinks he is a god.
The Conservative columnist Star Parker even commented directly on a talk show recently about the way the crowd responded to his comments at the breakfast. A devout Christian herself, she indicated that she was seated at a table with people of many different religious backgrounds and all were quietly shocked at what the President said. And it is impossible to believe that he didn't realize this would be the case, but like so much of what he has done in his second term, he frankly doesn't seem to care. Creating confusion and chaos is obviously his game plan, thereby taking attention away from the unconstitutional agenda that he is so fervently carrying out.
Christians need to stand their ground and keep Christ in their hearts and actions. Never be fearful of what goes on around you when you have Christ at your side. And as for the President, I hope and pray that he receives the blinding light treatment that the Apostle Paul experienced on the road to Damascus. It will take something spectacular to turn this man around, in my humble opinion. But as long as we believe in Christ and live as he would have us live, we must be open to forgiveness if someone changes. Otherwise keep your guard up and never surrender your Christian values and spirit.
God is alive and with us, we just have to accept his Son as our Savior to look forward to a better world and ultimately eternal life. He is our hope and our protection no matter what should befall us. Remember that and act accordingly.
God bless you and may God bless America.
