Finally, North Florida Writer Live will be back on the air tomorrow after a two week hiatus. We will start our return with a Sunday Morning Coming Down devotional at 9:30 am to begin the weekend with a little help from the Spirit. Sorry we've been silent so long but I picked up a bug that went into a pretty heavy case of bronchitis, really knocking me for a loop. And then a couple of days ago I had skin cancer surgery on my face, the repayment for the sins of spending my youthful summers shirtless and hatless on the Carolina shore. It kind of feels like I was hit in the side of the face by a crowbar but things are returning to normal well.
For tonight's show we will discuss taking the time to really ponder life. With all of the hustle and bustle and stress and strain of modern living, sometimes we lose sight of what is really important. There is so much joy and beauty that we often miss or fail to appreciate and my forced period of rest gave me an ample opportunity to really focus on the good things. That's what God wants us to do, folks. He wants us to live for Him and if we do, we will find joy, love and a zest for life that will keep us going no matter what obstacles we might face. We all face tests in life, but what is important is how we respond to them and keeping our eye on the ultimate prize. What is that prize? It's the promise and opportunity of living for Eternity with Him in heaven above.
I hope you'll join us for the message, short scripture, some good Christian music and prayer on this weekend's Sunday Morning Coming Down. The show will remain available 24/7 after the live version is completed. Get your focus on the prize that is ours for the asking and believing. Join us tomorrow morning. Here's the link:
