Look, I get it. We had a wonderful and great weekend doing what we wanted to do and like all good things, it came to an end. But think of the positive. Many people in other places and other times never received a weekend break. Many didn't even have a break on the Lord's Day. We are so blessed to be in a place and time where things are better. So really, are we going to mope and complain because we now have to go forth and work to make sure we can eat and do all the other things that are necessary to live. God never promised us a rose garden, but He did grant us through His love and grace the opportunity that is life. So, stop complaining and get with the program, for we have life to live and it is only as good as we make it.
Now I know what some might say. What do you mean, life doesn't afford the opportunity to do anything but survive no matter what is done? And I say to that, nonsense, and here's why. God gave us life and he gave it to us as someone created in His image. He wants us to show Him praise and to love Him as we should love ourselves and He is with us in the form of the Holy Spirit who is within us. So, don't be afraid to lean on the Spirit for help. It is what He is there for, to lead and guide us in doing the right things according to our Creator. And if we do the right things according to our Creator, we will naturally accept His love and grace with an air of confidence, faith and hope and it will manifest itself to others in the way we handle ourselves, smile instead of frown and carry out our work. Not only is it habit forming for us as the repetitive motions become natural, it is catching. Others see our joy and our grace and they want it for themselves and if you don't think that happens watch how it works. Oh, it won't be seen immediately and all won't respond, of course, but you'll see how it truly impacts others.
So, I merely suggest you put God's grace and love in your life and watch it work for you. No, you certainly are free not to, but if your life isn't a bowl of cherries wouldn't you like it to be more so? And besides, there's always what it does for you after earthly life is done, but that is a topic for another time. Be happy, try to do what is right and true and you'll feel much better and Monday, as well as any other day, won't be blue any longer. And I have a hunch when you start letting the sunshine in, you will witness that it is the SON shining in. Have a blessed day.
