Now some of you who don't like to follow politics might say, so what, what's the big deal? Well, it's a big deal because we currently have a President who is trying to "fundamentally change the United States of America" from a democratic republican operating under a capitalist system to a socialist land ripe with corrupt crony capitalism. This has already been done to a large degree and, if not checked soon, we will cross the line of no return.
The big deal is we need fighters standing for small government on principle, not weak politicos who talk out of both sides of their mouth while selling out their country to ultimate tyrannical government. Make no mistake, all of our supposed leaders, including Boehner, know that the country is nearing bankruptcy. They don't have a clue what to do about it but they only know they want to protect their little "gravy train" no matter what. The people be damned.
I remember that dreadful night when Obamacare became law. Boehner showed passion and anger and, at first, it looked like he would make a principled stand to fight. After passing an anti-Obamacare bill knowing it wouldn't go any further, he then punted. He's been punting ever since.
From the phony multiple "fiscal cliff" situation, to extending the national debt limit, he even pushed hard for funding of the Obamacare set up and initiation, arguing that now was not the time to fight. Boehner decided to "play ball" with the Democrats, going so far as to pass legislation with Democrat support that the majority of his caucus disfavored.
The Speaker has even stated that he can trust Obama and work with him. Trust Obama? This president has lied continually to all of us and has scorned the honor of America repeatedly and Boehner wants to work him because he's trustworthy? Please, John, put down your Kool-Aid.
So I would ask the Speaker, a man of modest beginnings, to look deep within himself and think about what is really important for himself and his country. Are the trappings of power and the pampered lifestyle he leads what's important? Or is working hard to insure that the country that has been so good to him maintains its freedom, with a return to individualism, liberty and a firm belief in the Glory of God. It's really just that simple.
And since prayer has great power, I would ask that all of us good, God-fearing Americans pray that the Speaker makes the right choice:
Dear Heavenly Father, Please give our Speaker, the current leader of one major house of our government, the fortitude and the strength to put aside the trappings of power and turn to what is really important in his daily work. America is in trouble. We have lost our way and need redirection. As a nation, we need principled, God-fearing leaders, not weak or fearful ones who sell their principles for expediency and their own lifestyle.
Please infect the soul of John Boehner with Thy Holy Spirit, infusing him with the vigor, righteousness, and willpower to help lead in turning this country back to Thee. And using John as a believer, help all Americans realize again the virtue of hard work, love of God and family, and freedom, for without these we will truly fail and become just another land that is rudderless and permanently lost.
Be with him and us in the journey ahead, and make us ever mindful that with Thee, we can do anything. In His name we pray, Amen.
They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. 2 Peter 2"19 (ESV)
I hope and pray these words might help the Speaker to awaken to God's love and return to principle, not just politics. Have a good day and continue to fight for the Soul of America.
