Why all of a sudden am I writing this today? Well, I am doing so due to their recent maniacal commentary on the CoronaVirus (CoVid). Is CoVid19 something to concern us? Of course, it is as are all health issues. Is it a crisis of the order to literally shut a nation down totally? No, it is not. Let's look at what we know as of this morning. Thirty-six Americans have died thus far, most being those who are elderly and have other health issues problematic for such a virus, and approximately thirteen hundred have tested positive. Compare that with the average run of the mill flu which comes every year. To date this year, thirty-two million have been infected and eighteen thousand have died from the common flu. See the problem here? No one worries about the impact of the flu, just like the City of Chicago's leaders just shrug and except a murder on the streets rate which exceeds the school shooting totals nationwide. And what about the thirty-eight thousand killed on the highways of the nation that generate nothing more than a yawn? So, why does this happen?
To understand why such an out of balance approach is so prevalent, we only need remember the quote of former Clinton confidante and former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel when asked what the Democrats should do to remain viable and gain traction, "Never let a good crisis go to waste." This has been an active measure utilized by the Democrats going back generations and now that the former Fourth Estate, the media, has negated its value as a truth seeker and has readily accepted its new role as a component of the Democratic Party propaganda effort, it shows clearly in the daily news. Why else would people like Jake Tapper, Chuck Todd and George Stephanopoulos be masquerading as objective journalists despite their background as liberal political operatives? It's all part of the effort to create news instead of reporting it and the news created is always favorable to the Left. Why wouldn't it be since over ninety-three percent of the supposed news journalists openly admit to being of the left-leaning persuasion and most contribute to political campaigns and causes which support their agenda.
Let's face the truth, America. Journalism is dead, replaced by a biased and untruthful bunch of operatives who spout the line handed to them by their ideological handlers, the Jeff Zucker's of the media. They all repeat the same headlines and the same stories, none of which requires any effort on their part. The former truly investigative types that were left in the business have become free lancers since the networks and newspapers really don't want that type of employee anymore. A prime example is Sharyl Atkisson, the former super CBS investigative reporter who was spied on and ultimately let go by her employer for telling the truth and not following dictated agenda requirements. She was unwilling to sell her reputation as a truth seeker to retain her job and now operates independently to continue her good work.
The journalism schools don't teach journalism any longer, they teach how to manipulate a compliant public to their way of thinking by creating polls using questions easily manipulated with the context applied and using fifteen second sound bytes as a substitute for real information. You can get any answer to a poll you want depending on how you put together your questions and sound bytes can passively be absorbed by the TV watcher without them even realizing it. But the problem is based on more than just the reporter's bias, for they do it for a fat paycheck that only requires their willingness to read what is put before them and to use the pat answers for everything. Money is always a big persuader. So, if we want the truth, America, we better start doing our own digging to find it. The truth sets us free while the loss of it ultimately puts us in chains. Act accordingly or be prepared to sit silently and watch our freedom go down the drain. And remember, once we lose it, the odds are high we'll never get it back.
