Yesterday he gave a preview of his remarks in front of the American-Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). He told those in attendance of the sacrifice and danger that were the early days of Israel and how, despite the odds against her, she had overcome hatred and persecution by her Arab neighbors to forge a modern miracle in the desert. As a bustling and productive country with a highly trained military force, she has weathered many storms in the region but now finds herself with a regional enemy who will soon have nuclear capability that is being encouraged by America, traditionally her biggest supporter and ally.
The Prime Minister made it clear that his country will not stand silently by and watch this happen, for Iran has repeatedly said that their plans are to destroy the Jewish state and all of her people in a modern day holocaust. Netanyahu knows the history of the persecution, torture and death of his people from the Nazis in World War II and he vows that she will never allow anything like that to happen again, even if it means going down fighting.
Why our President so belittles this great man with his snarky comments and behind the scenes actions (our negotiations with Iran are in secret) is beyond me. Israeli is the only democracy in the region and has always been willing and able to conduct her own battles. She merely needs American help with material resources due to her small size in both land mass and population. And fight her battles she will.
Israel also represents the Land of God's Chosen People, a biblically told story long before Jesus came to earth. And, of course, the City of God is what Jerusalem, her capital, is called many times in the Bible. Jesus, born a Jew, was a citizen of this land and through his gift of salvations, we Christian have been afforded the gift of salvation if we follow and believe Him. We are expected to be committed to the life and prosperity of this wonderful and courageous state. I truly think that if we turn our back and Israel, we are turning our back on the will of God and the consequences will be drastic.
So to Mr. Netanyahu I say, welcome to America, Sir. We, the American people love and respect you and wish you success in your visit here. Just tell the unvarnished truth before Congress and let the chips fall where they may.
And we also pray that the President of this land will see the light and relent from his foolish folly that will, if left unchecked, clearly result in hardship and possible destruction for your country with an ultimate similar fate potentially for us. After all, the Mullahs of Iran have called your land little satan and America big satan. Their terminology represent the hatred in their heart which we all must overcome.
And to those in Congress who say they will boycott the speech today. If you do, you will show not only rudeness but a clear message of the anti-Semitism that you hold in your heart. Open your heart and mind to the truth and you will find your way. Otherwise, you will be on the wrong side of history for all America to see.
God bless you, Mr. Netanyahu and good luck. We will be cheering you on. Never forget the love and devotion that most of America feels toward you. We abjectly oppose the President's position and will do what we can to force change in that policy. Go forth with God. We #StandwithIsrael.
