At the same time, however, there are positive signs that indicate that the politics of destruction could soon begin to slow down and hopefully end. Democrats up for reelection this year who voted for Obamacare are getting weak polling numbers, Ted Cruz made a valiant stand to force the RINOs favoring increasing the debt ceiling to show their true colors and even the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the most liberal high level court in the land, ruled that California's individual carry permit requirements were clearly out of the realm of constitutional law. All of these items give some indication that Americans are waking up to reality of what has become of their nation and are beginning to respond as they should.
Having said all of this, Americans need a break from all of this "stuff" from time to time and Saturday is the first of two days of the week designed for this. Saturday should be a day when we spend time with family and friends and have some fun. It's a time for taking kids to the park and watching nature, or attending a family movie with popcorn and maybe even a little candy. Or it could be a basketball game or just getting some work done around the house at your own pace. Maybe it's even the day to take your kids to the animal shelter to rescue that cute little dog or cat you've been promising them. Whatever it is, do something to take your mind off your troubles and put a little sunshine in your life.
If you are fortunate enough to not have to work on this day, make sure you take some time to spend it together with your family, for families have become more and more broken apart in recent years. With parents working hard all week and the kids busy with school and events, it is important to take some time to get together and communicate, sharing your lives with each other. We need this desperately today and often we forget about it. Time's a wasting folks, and you don't want you and your loved ones to become strangers to one another so do something positive about it.
And then tomorrow is a different kind of rest day. Get up in the morning, go to church and worship He who created us and then keep the Holy Day relaxing and simple. But we'll talk about that some more tomorrow.
Two glorious days are here to clear the cobwebs out of your head and open your eyes and ears to the sights and sounds of what America truly is. Take the time to have some fun and rest and you'll be ready for the "rat race" to return Monday morning in tip top condition to face whatever it throws your way.
God bless you all and have a great weekend.
