But now a week later the luster has gone away and we have completed another week in this sinful world where people cut corners, don't always do the right things, tell those little white lies and worry incessantly about work, finances and the future. It happens to all of us; we allow ourselves to slump backward in a world that we see as so wrong in so many ways. So it's time to refocus back on that wonderful message that we just received last week, a message of love, hope and redemption.
Take time every day for the Savior. Pray, read your Bible and ponder what He did for us on the Cross, for it's not just something that happened on that day so long ago, it's something that needs to live on in our hearts every day. And remember, after the sorrow came the joy, because He walked out of that grave dug out of a limestone hillside and lived. And because of His death, we can also live with Him forever.
Whenever you feel blue or worried, whenever you catch your mind wondering into places where it shouldn't be, stop and ponder the importance of that event that we just celebrated a week ago and what it means to you. It's truly the cure for what ails you. And since we are all sinners and sometimes take unwanted detours from what we should be, take out the Bible, His roadmap to Life, and get back on course.
God bless you all and have a wonderful weekend knowing that He is there to take up your worries. Turn yourself over to Him always and never fear again. It's the key to Salvation.
