Lucky for me, I'm done, so I can instead watch a little basketball, perhaps take one of the horses out, or just take a nice Saturday afternoon nap. But that really only works well during baseball season for even though I love baseball on TV there is just something about the slow pace of the game that puts me to sleep.
Whatever you have to do to get ready for that big day which is less than two weeks away, today is a great time to forget the troubles of the world. Put the politics aside, get your Christmas preparation done now so that next weekend, the weekend before Christmas, you can relax and enjoy the Season. Decorate the tree, enjoy they cold weather and have a cup of hot chocolate or enjoy some spiked egg nog. Whatever you do, remember that Christmas comes only once a year. But don't forget, while you are having the fun of the season, remember the real reason for the season. Without Him, there would be no Christmas.
And if you go to church tomorrow you can also experience the joy of Advent which will be entering its third week. The anticipation and the joy will grow until Christmas Eve when the big event is here. And remember, we are celebrating the birth of the Christ Child who grew into a man and ultimately the One who gave us the opportunity for salvation and eternal life. And soon, although we don't know when, He will return to reclaim the earth and end all of the war, strife and suffering of this world. Get ready because all of us will be impacted and I don't know about you, but I want to be on the right side of the ledger of the Book of Life.
Enjoy your day and praise His Holy Name always. God bless.
