Now I personally favor Donald Trump, largely due to his strong and unspoken stand on a couple of issues such as immigration and taxation, but I also have great respect for Ted Cruz and I will have no problem voting for either of these two men. But Rubio? Well, after voting for him in Florida for the United States Senate, he immediately stabbed Floridians in the back by linking up with Chuck Schumer to try and jam the Gang of 8 bill through the Senate, a dubious bill which despite the protestations contained nothing short of amnesty. And then, he continues to go along to get along, or miss the votes instead on a number of key issues while joining the aging John McCain in pushing for war wherever the possibility rises. America can't take anymore knee jerk decisions that drain the coffers which are, frankly, already empty. But then again, it should be expected that a young politician might play war hawk based upon his lack of experience in the subject of which he speaks.
The only hope for America in my humble opinion is for Trump and Cruz to come to some type of truce and settle their differences despite the fact that both want the oval office. We need a business wizard and a legal and strong constitutional mind joined at the hip to clean up what ails us. And, folks, here's the truth about these men. The Donald is not the devil and Ted is not the Savior. They are both mortal men who make mistakes, yet they both have a propensity to make good decisions and that's what we are sorely missing these days.
Trump really has nothing to gain by serving as President unless his is a genuine worry about the state of the nation he loves and I think that is it. But he is a tough fighter and that's why his campaign is running the way it is. And Cruz has a bit of "snark" in him, but it is also a characteristics of a legal mind that is fighting for what he believes in as well. Put the two together and you have a powerful tool for freedom.
I still think it would be great to have Trump as President, using his bully pulpit and his hammer of a personality to shake up a corrupt and self-centered Establishment. Then Cruz would be in a position to follow and make sure that things stay cleaned up. So for me the choice is Trump-Cruz. But as for Rubio? No way, hit the highway. He's just another weasel seeking power and glory.
We'll just have to see how it washes out but pray for America to ultimately make one of my two favorites President or I think we will continue to go down the road to destruction. And couple that with any possibility of the now clearly Socialist Party (the Democrats) retaining power and it would be Armageddon. God bless you all and let's fight to bring America back to real freedom again.
