Has Al Gore been to Buffalo recently? I mean, think about it. Everywhere he goes ends up facing a huge blizzard and record low temperatures and Buffalo certainly meets that standard today. In some places snow of up to eight feet in depth has cars buried, doors and windows of homes blocked and thousands wondering if it will ever stop snowing.
I guess the UN panel on climate change and the EPA are already putting together their propaganda showing this is just more evidence of climate change. The problem with that action is the terminology itself. Nobody is questioning that there is climate change; there has been climate change ongoing for millions of years. But the question is what is the cause?
We've heard talk of global warming, global cooling and now climate change. They keep changing the terminology to try to find an all encompassing term which they can then use to say it is all caused by man. Really? Man? I've been reading about and studying the subject for years and have yet to find anything that shows the cause of climate change is man. Most of the measures they use to state this are nothing more than statistical models and we all remember in the early days of computers the acronym: GIGO. Garbage in, garbage out. As in manipulated or erroneous data and what that means to the validity of data.
No, there is nothing really showing man to be some huge culprit here. One huge blast from Krakatoa or a series of sunspots and the entire climate can be turned upside down. The amount of energy generated therefrom makes the input of man look rather tame, so I think that we'll really just have to agree to disagree. And the CO2 argument? Well, as long as we have green plant life on earth there is plenty of living and breathing life to absorb the CO2, including that which we must exhale routinely if we wish to remain alive.
But at least as far as the people of Buffalo are concerned, I suppose it was a good idea that the climate nuts gave up arguing about the impact of global warming, for it certainly isn't warm in Buffalo today. And from the the talk of the meteorologists such as Dr. Roy Spencer of the University of Alabama Huntsville, it sounds like we have quite a spell of colder than normal weather on the way.
But cheer up, folks, if you are worried about the future of the earth. The most notable climate change of all, the change of seasons, is now upon us with winter coming soon. Bundle up and get ready, for we humans are no match for the laws of nature. So sit back and enjoy the season as well.
