I've now finished my writing with two editing reviews and I await the reading of another before sending to the publisher. Hopefully, this means things are close, although the publisher input will also be, of course, critical.
For those of you who like animal stories or information, here's a short teaser that is true and involved my "ferocious" chihuahua. It will give you just a little flavor of the book:
"Suddenly, a large blue heron landed on the fence and this large slender bird and Lupe exchanged glances which were more like challenging glares. I thought nothing about it until the bird decided to lift off. She resembled a lumbering propeller plane, slowly rising, then taking a temporary dip before regaining altitude as it continues its climb.
The dip was in the direction of Lupe as her flight plan was directly overhead. Lupe saw her coming and immediately chased after her, barking loudly and jumping as high as she could as if she thought she could sink her teeth into this graceful winged beauty. Thank goodness she missed or our final goodbye would likely have been heard as she sailed over the pine trees headed toward Gainesville."
I will keep you posted on the progress. This has been a labor of love for me and I hope it's the first of many. God loves the animals and so do I.
Have a great weekend. God bless you all.
