Think about it; forty or fifty Chicago residents, largely young people, are shot weekend after weekend by thugs who have guns and aren't approved to have them, yet Obama continues to try and put the blame on good people like you and me for demanding our constitutional rights. I am a former Army officer, a proud gun owner and I have no police record. The height of my sins with regard to breaking the law is from minor traffic violations, period. How dare a man who won't even face the truth and look at his own home turf to try and put more restrictions on people like me who follow the law, pay our taxes, promote good living habits and love our fellow man. It is worse than shameless; it is abusive. What's more, the President releases felons, many convicted of violent crimes with weapons, from prison early and throws them out on the street where we must deal with them. And then, of course, there is the huge influx of illegals, many from places where we cannot determine anything from their background, and we are expected to pay for their food, shelter and lifestyle.
So what is the reason for this thinking on his part and will we stand together to make the changes necessary in our leadership in this election year? And will we finally demand and only vote for those who pledge to put us first, not the violent, the hateful and the lawbreakers that seem to get all of the breaks from a government that more and more violates our trust and doesn't pass the smell test? That is what we are faced with this year and what we must determine soon and the results will likely determine whether or not we remain free.
I don't know about you and, of course, each of us is entitled to our own opinion, but I truly in my heart of hearts think that Donald Trump is the best bet to get us on track. And Ted Cruz would be a great selection for Vice President with the assignment of important tasks on our road back to freedom. He would then be in position to carry on after the Donald's "wrecking ball" smacks a little common sense and business acumen into the cesspool that is today Washington. Let's make Washington worthy of the man for whom it was named.
God bless America.
