Actually it's even worse than that; he insulted the honor of all the men and women who currently serve, as well as those who served in the past in America's military. For the senior military official in uniform to say that the fall of this city, a city which fell because of the incompetence and naivete of his boss, the President, is indicative of a very weak man who will sacrifice his soldiers, airmen, sailors and Marines for his own retirement check.
Let's face it, folks, the JCS chair is the final step in his career, and Dempsey will continue to kow tow to the whims of a laughable administration until he is secure in his cushy retirement. Obviously the man knows no shame, making a statement of such insult when there are large numbers of dependents and also still living service members who had their lives ruined all for naught.
What should be treated as a disgrace just passes on by and I'm very upset that not even one Republican, particularly the candidates who want to be Commander-in-chief, remained silent. Regarding Democrats, we already know the disdain that Hillary feels for the military. She showed it many times as First Lady, using them as waiters and such at White House occasions.
There really isn't much else to be said, is there. But there are two questions I will ask. What do you think George Patton would say to Dempsey if he were alive today? And where is Peter Pace when we sure could use him? I don't know anything about Dempsey's career prior to attaining his lofty position, but I do know that today the position he holds has a man sitting in the chair who has dropped the standard of military leadership to a an all time low. And I truly feel sorry for the men and women in harm's way who have to follow a leader who has such low regard for their service.
God save the Republic. Something must change and change fast or she'll never recover.
