But as we learn more and more about what actually took place in Fort Lauderdale, we find another major aspect of what was going on in the mind of alleged killer Esteban Santiago which was not reported by the mainstream media. It seems that Santiago was radicalized before serving in the Army and, in 2007, changed his name to Ashiq Hammad and declared himself to be a convert to Islam. He also was photographed wearing a Palestinian Arab scarf, a keffiyah, a popular item of wear by Palestinian extremists, in a picture showing him also giving the Islamic salute most recently used by those connected to radical Islam. And this information was readily available but it took a truly investigative organization, Judicial Watch, to bring it to the attention of the public.
So why was Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel in such a hurry to formalize the findings of who he was and what was his background while not reporting this information? Well, thankfully there is someone in Fort Lauderdale who wants the truth. Jim Marlock, a Fort Lauderdale real estate entrepreneur has publicly criticized the Sheriff and has demanded answers. And that brings us to the two question where I'll end this for today:
Isn't it about time for all of us to demand that the government tell us the truth about terror? And isn't it also true that if we put political correctness at the forefront of every problem and issue that we'll never solve any of them? The truth is that only the truth will lead us to the truth and without the truth we will never be free.
