Putting it in a nutshell, the Democratic Convention which adjourned in Philadelphia Thursday night tried to use fiction in place of fact, hoping that most Americans aren't smart enough to figure it out for themselves. They painted a rosy picture of the economy, stating that America was doing very well and the future is rosy while they complained about Trump's "Dark Vision" which was in reality the truth. But the statistical picture which emerges, some of which came out yesterday, the day after the convention ended, really tells the story.
Here we are at the end of July with just over three months until the election. The supposedly rosy economy has some pretty dire warnings in the numbers and none are more indicative of the true state of the economy than these. First, the number of Americans owning homes has slipped to the lowest level in fifty-one years. The Gross Domestic Product for the quarter ending June 30th was a paltry 1.9%, meaning that if magic doesn't happen in the quarter ending in September, President Obama will be the first President who never had a quarter with growth over 3%, the standard that most economists look for as the baseline for a healthy economy. And finally, the number of working age Americans not in the workforce remains over ninety-four million, the highest rate since the 1970's. And please don't use the stock market averages as a measure of economic greatness because it has all been created by the Fed's pumping it up with dollars grown out of thin air, a situation which sooner of later will result in an inflationary spiral likely to make the Carter years look tame.
Obama's dream economy isn't working or perhaps it's just the opposite. After all, if fundamental transformation of America was designed to make us all a ward of a dictatorial state instead of having a healthy economy, then he is right on target. And from listening to Hillary's grand government schemes and the huge "investment they will cost, it is clear that if she is elected it could be even worse.
So put this information back in the recesses of your mind where you can remember it and use it later and now go have some fun. A little fun, smiles and laughter are needed to keep us all of sound mind as we face a future that most never dreamed of. Make #NeverHillary the battle cry and ask God for the courage and strength to stand for freedom and the American dream. We can, and must, bring it back.
