For a little background in case you either don't know or don't remember, Holder was held in Contempt of Congress last year when he refused to provide documentation asked for about the Fast and Furious gun running scandal involving U.S. agents selling arms to Mexican cartel members.
At this point in the conversation with Rep. Gohmert, Mr. Holder responded with the following words: "You don't want to go there, Buddy."
Now Congressman Gohmert, a former Texas Supreme Court judge was not intimidated and asked the Attorney General if he was talking about the comments on contempt. When Holder said yes, the Congressman replied that since the Attorney General didn't seem to care about contempt since he had refused to reply with a Congressional order from a year ago, the reason he was held in contempt in the first place.
This was probably one of the "gutsiest" comments involving truth to power provided by a Congressman in a long time yet the media had absolutely no interest in reporting on it. I guess it was just another example of how the media is determined to protect Obama and his minions from all criticism no matter how serious the matter might be.
And what did the Attorney General do? Well, he certainly made no effort to comply with the lawful request but instead paid a visit to Al Sharpton's Action Network convention where he made the charge that Congressman Gohmert's questions just showed what a racist the Congressman was. Really, Mr. Holder, racism?
What's even worse, the President himself plans to be an active participant and a keynoter for the convention, knowing full well that the only thing that will come of that is a fanning of the flames of national division. It's what he does. No one has done more to divide this nation along racial lines than the President of the United States and Holder is just doing what a true believer does. He fans the flames in advance of the main event.
Never has America had a divider-in-chief in the White House nor a Cabinet filled with people who are not concerned about doing the business of the people. The result to date has been a national disaster; I don't see any better outcome in the near future until America wakes up and changes course through the voting booth in 2016. I truly think that election will be our last chance for sanity in government.
God bless and God help the United States of America.
