Last night on North Florida Writer Live's "Short Take" we explored this situation a little bit. Oh, we only touched the tip of the iceberg but I hope it will make us think. Since today we have substituted political correctness for truth and we have lessened our reliance on the Almighty, we have become susceptible to believing anything that comes down the "pike". Many of us no longer have the backbone or the willingness to face the truth and without the truth you eventually will lose your freedom.
Yesterday it was announced that the First Quarter economy dropped by seven tenths of one percent. So the economy is not growing, it is contracting and yet the government continues to tell us that we are in a recovery and things are getting better.
Police are being cursed and belittled by thugs and their own superiors from the political class won't support them. It is assumed that they are evil, only wanting to hurt citizens when nothing could be further from the truth. Take both Baltimore and Chicago. Weekend murders are in double figures and the police are surrounded by mobs when they try to come and do their jobs. And politicians of both party stripes either go along to get along or just remain silent. But you notice that their security is never at risk while the good people of Baltimore living in the war zone can't even come out of their homes.
Professors teach lies, won't allow for honest debate and the university community which used to be a place for lively debate now curses those who don't accept the phony history that is being used to replace the truth. I wouldn't send a kid to college these days; the only thing being taught is mush that is worthless, yet the "mushies" think they have the truth.
And science? Well, we are all starting to realize the farce that was Global Warming, now Climate Change and who knows what new name will emerge. It is emerging that man's impact on the climate is very small and most of its cause is natural. But those pushing the agenda still say that they have a consensus among scientists when science isn't subject to consensus. And there are many scientists in opposition to their findings who they try relentlessly to silence.
Other examples include the push against Christianity, the majority religion in America and the unwillingness of the Fourth Estate, the free press, to be a beacon for truth, which is what made it so critical. The press has fallen into route step with the New World Order and Christians are worried about what their own government, founded on the Judeo-Christian ethic, will try to persecute them with next.
We could go on and on but the point is this. We need the truth, not baloney. And boy are we getting baloney. So get your thinking cap on, think about what you hear and compare it to what you see. I think it will be clear that something is woefully amiss and it is leading us toward disaster.
