No longer does the national party represent Conservatism, family values, and God instead opting to be a weak "go along to get along" bunch with the likes of Reid, Pelosi and Obama to name a few, individuals with whom my values are diametrically opposed. While I will vote for individual Republicans who support my views, I will always apply Ronald Reagan's "trust but verify" guidance in all matters political. I will also never donate to the organized party but instead will help individuals provided that the funds are not put in a general Republican support pool.
John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and the other Washington Establishment leaders have in my opinion disgraced both themselves and the causes for which they supposedly stood. Giving Obama unbridled access to money that doesn't exist with absolutely no strings, supporting an educational overhaul known as Common Core which uses profane and even pornographic examples in some of its textual material, and failing to stand for God and the Ten Commandments are just a few of the reasons behind my decision. Selling out American citizens to the immigration Amnesty crowd and failing to go after graft, corruption and even murder in the case of Benghazi are just other readily visible additional justifications. And I hope that more and more Americans will take a similar view as they watch America slowly crumble in a modern day Roman Empire scenario.
I hope that all Tea Party and other Conservative politicians are willing to stand for what they claim they support when and if they win election to a seat in Washington. A number of those who were elected in 2010 under this flag, Renee Ellmers being a prime example, quickly sold their soul to Boehner and Company once they moved inside the beltway. That's why the "trust but verify" principle is so important, both when running for office and, more importantly, after taking office.
Conservatives, research the candidates carefully and evaluate their track records. Remember, it's not what they say but what they do and the way they've lived their lives that counts. If we will always remember this and act accordingly we will not fail. If not, we will find a lot more Renee Ellmers and John Boehner types taking office spouting high ideals while selling the Conservative base out for sheckels.
Let's take the time to do what we must and never forsake those principles which made America great. God bless you and God bless America.
