Seriously, readers, as the Republican Party gets ready to send the "Elephant" into Cleveland for its upcoming presidential nomination convention, get ready for the chaos to begin. Word is out that a number of party activists are still trying to cook up a scheme to void Trump's delegate commitments although that is a long hill to climb, at least in this blogger's opinion. But there is also word that the New Black Panther Party plans to bring weapons and a large crowd of agitators to town to try to create conflict at an event that is as American as apple pie.
Get ready for the chaos and noise and we should all pray that saner minds prevail and another bloodbath does not ensue. Regardless of what happens inside the convention venue, the delegates need to be allowed to safely come and go, do their business and return safely home later next week while our courageous men and women in blue need to be safe to do their jobs. Frankly, though, many are betting that things will go from bad to worse based on the continuing rhetoric of hate being spewed by those who want chaos and destruction.
But it won't stop here if it happens next week, folks, for the following week in Philadelphia the Democrats will hold the Democratic National Convention, planning the coronation of Hillary Clinton despite the seldom reported outrage of the Bernie supporters. Similar to the Republicans, there will be chaos both inside and outside the convention hall. We can anticipate the Bernie supporters creating quite a scene while outside there will also be a mess. Striking Philadelphia union workers and those seeking mischief or worse who as of late always show up at times like this.
So get your seat belts on and get ready for the show. We all hope it doesn't become a major problem, but it could get quite ugly. It will, however, be interesting to see how liberal dominated cities handle these issue when the politicians are in the neighborhood. Somehow I suspect it will be different from what we see regarding the general public. How sad we've come to this.
