ARE THINGS ALWAYS AS THEY SEEM?

As I look across the nation this morning, things taking place can be looked at so many different ways and the way we each see those things  can create wide divergences in what they appear to be. For example, if you are seeing things based upon your favorite news channel with the major TV networks, your viewpoint will be one thing, but if you personally experienced the situation shown up close and personal, the result will be quite different.  So, my point is when you use appearance as the sole baseline for your view without real verification, you are apt to be wrong.  Even in the print and online media, the divergence between national networks and those found on smaller, more detailed sites, show wide divergences in judgement. And I point this out to make the point that we should never reach snap judgement about who is right or wrong, for a little time to ponder and develop a discerning eye will more likely lead to the truth. And in no case is it more the case than in the recently completed Presidential election.

To really understand we have to look at the double standard we have in American politics.  That causes the largest difference in outlook that Americans have from one another and because of the implications therefrom, it can change much of our view on life itself.. And the difference becomes much clearer in those things when we consider the impact of Donald Trump who, love him or not, has played such a major role in where we in American find ourselves today.  Some despise him, but others love him for the changes he has made in America. I personally have to conclude that they have been most positive, but some, depending on what influences them, have strong opposing views. But to me,  Donald Trump is the first President that I can ever remember who truly set out to do what he promised he would do. He made it clear the summer before he was elected in a speech on the anniversary of the conclusion of the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863 as to what he wanted to do.  He again made it clear in his 2017 inaugural speech and yet many tried to feign surprise, and evem anger as the political establishment was petrified that their gravy train would end. He wanted to drain the swamp and all of those entrenched swamp creatures who got fat off the American calf. And in so doing, a natural variance in point of view came in vogue as the privileged saw him as a threat and many others of us saw him as a man willing to fight for the necessary changes needed. And that became a feeding ground for either approval or disapproval, all based upon who was on the receiving end of the differing results. And therein lies the opposite point of view which the media has worked tirelessly to push and so many have accepted it. They have scorned him, maligned him, cursed him and even impeached him and yet he is still standing tall and smiling despite what has detractors have done. And during it all, a wide range of supportive Americans have urged him on.

And look at the most current examples of the difference between light and darkness.   I remember election night 2020, going to bed with Trump with a big lead and waking up a few hours later to find that the counting had stopped in the swing states and the media was talking about how the election results were changing fast.  This isn't a difference in view, this is fraud, plain and simple and the story is now finally getting traction about what really happened. And even though it comes at a late hour to finally get traction, the response is strong as we learn that so many of such actions have been going on for many years.  But it needed to happen and right now there is potential for immediate action. So we sit and watch as the saga unfolds which will determine how the story ends. I personally think it will be a good finish with the ultimate elimination of the political double standard and political correctness finally getting a comeuppance, but only time will tell.   If it fails, we are likely to be on the road tot a future of tyranny and ultimately Marxism in thought and living.  But if traditional America wins, it will be one of Christ and glory. We can all impact the end by standing tall for what we believe. And I pray that in the end the viewpoints of America can blend together in trust and mutual respect and the end of hate and distrust. We will have to see how the battle unfolds, but in the end, our prayers and our faith will help us stay the course and never allow the greatest experiment in self governance will live on as a bastion of hope and light for the world.  God bless America and may she ever be free.
