- An nation without borders is not a nation.
- A nation without laws is not a nation.
- A nation that does not serve its own citizens is not a nation.
The plan includes the construction of fence along the entire length of the border, requires the laws of the land to be enforced and ends the ridiculous "anchor baby" travesty. If you aren't here legally then you have no business being here, period. And by enforcing laws, using e-verify in hiring, and ending birthright citizenship, something that was never required by the Constitution, America will be returned to the concept of "government of, by and for the people", the American people. Is it perfect? Likely not but it does represent the views of a man runnng for President who is putting Americans first. And those who wish to apply for the privilege of becoming an American citizen need to do it in accordance with our laws and need to show that they want to be assimilated into the American lifestyle, not maintain their past experiences as the guideline for how they will live in their new home.
Tonight at nine on North Florida Writer Live we'll talk about it. My guest, Mark Collier and I will look at how the immigration process traditionally worked, what has gone wrong and how a program like the one proposed by "The Donald" can work to bring things back to a reasonable normalcy in America. From the response the proposal has received, it looks like many citizens are in full agreement.I hope you'll tune in tonight. And the show will also be available on demand upon completion.
