Sunday Morning Coming Down: Stand Up for Jesus!

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross; lift high his royal banner, it must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory his army shall he lead, till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed.
    - First verse of the hymn, Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus.  Words by George Dutfield, Jr., 1858 (Ephesians 6:10-17)

The writer of this beautiful traditional hymn, using music created in 1830 written by George F. Webb, drew his inspiration for the words from Ephesians 6:10-17. In his letter to the Christians in Ephesus, Paul writes about taking up the armor of God and putting on His helmet to protect the righteous from the evils and ways of this world. The concept of doing battle is found in many places in the Bible and it's important for Christians to realize that we are in als today in the middle of a battle for our beliefs and Christian way of life.  This isn't referring to physical combat and violence although there are certainly times when that may be necessary in an evil world, but it refers to the need to have the protection of God through His Son and the Holy Spirit to insure that when life on earth is done we are enveloped in His perpetual love forever through His forgiveness and grace.

There are signs all around us of a world filled with hate, violence, persecution and other forms of darkness.  In many areas, Christians are at the center of the receiving end from non-believers who have no understanding of the love that Jesus Christ is all about. And even though times are perilous, we are called upon to be missionaries for Him, spreading the Gospel and its love in all that we do.  Now that doesn't mean that you are expected to just stroll into a dangerous war zone preaching for Christ although there are some among us who have done that.  But it does mean that you live your life for Him, living by His example, touching others with His love that need it so much.  Often, they just don't realize  the joys of life they are missing and how His love can so dramatically and positively change their life.

So Christian Brothers and Sisters, Stand Up for Jesus and be a soldier of the Cross, strong and resolute in professing your faith by the way you live and the way you handle all that is thrown at you in this world.  And when He again returns, whether it is in our earthly lifetime or later, we will be rewarded with a richness that we can't even imagine.

Dear Lord, We thank you for Thy love, grace and mercy which has the potential to provide for us beyond our wildest dreams.  Help us to understand and follow the Cross to that wonderful future awaiting us with Thee in heaven above.   In Christ's name we pray, Amen.

Fact vs Fiction: Final Words on DNC 2016

PictureDNC: Thank goodness it's over.
It's Saturday, a wonderful time to relax, forget our troubles and be happy, but before we do so we need to make sure we have last week's big story straight in our heads.  We'll need to remind ourselves later of a few simple facts that should guide our actions in the next few months.

Putting it in a nutshell, the Democratic Convention which adjourned in Philadelphia Thursday night tried to use fiction in place of fact, hoping that most Americans aren't smart enough to figure it out for themselves.  They painted a rosy picture of the economy, stating that America was doing very well and the future is rosy while they complained about Trump's "Dark Vision" which was in reality the truth.  But the statistical picture which emerges, some of which came out yesterday, the day after the convention ended, really tells the story.

Here we are at the end of July with just over three months until the election.  The supposedly rosy economy has some pretty dire warnings in the numbers and none are more indicative of the true state of the economy than these.  First, the number of Americans owning homes has slipped to the lowest level in fifty-one years.  The Gross Domestic Product for the quarter ending June 30th was a paltry 1.9%, meaning that if magic doesn't happen in the quarter ending in September, President Obama will be the first President who never had a quarter with growth over 3%, the standard that most economists look for as the baseline for a healthy economy.  And finally, the number of working age Americans not in the workforce remains over ninety-four million, the highest rate since the 1970's.  And please don't use the stock market averages as a measure of economic greatness because it has all been created by the Fed's pumping it up with dollars grown out of thin air, a situation which sooner of later will result in an inflationary spiral likely to make the Carter years look tame.

Obama's dream economy isn't working or perhaps it's just the opposite.  After all, if fundamental transformation of America was designed to make us all a ward of a dictatorial state instead of having a healthy economy, then he is right on target.  And from listening to Hillary's grand government schemes and the huge "investment they will cost, it is clear that if she is elected it could be even worse.

So put this information back in the recesses of your mind where you can remember it and use it later and now go have some fun.  A little fun, smiles and laughter are needed to keep us all of sound mind as we face a future that most never dreamed of.  Make #NeverHillary the battle cry and ask God for the courage and strength to stand for freedom and the American dream. We can, and must, bring it back.

Donald vs Hillary: Truly Different Mindsets

7/29/2016

PictureAnd now the fun begins
So now the two major party conventions are over and the real slog to the finish begins.  It will start a little bit slower as we roll through the "Dog Days" of August but come Labor Day, the traditional start of the full campaign, it will ramp up rapidly.  By the time November comes we will wish that there was never another political campaign, yet we'll start right back in within a few days.

Watching the Democratic Convention finale with Hillary speaking, it was striking how very little if any time was devoted to those things which America is demanding.  National security and real economic prosperity and how to really achieve them were hidden in cliches and meaningless phrases.  It was clear that she is completely out of touch with the issues and problems faced by real Americans, while her opponent clearly addressed those very fears a week earlier.  Why is this?

Well, perhaps it's because of the clear difference in outlook between the two candidates with Hillary a captive of an ideology that has failed the world so miserably wherever it is found.  Trump on the other hand, raised by a hard charging, driven developer and the graduate of Penn's Wharton School of Business looks at life as an opportunity to succeed if you are well prepared, energetic and willing to take risk.

When you look at the difference in accomplishments it is stark.  In the case of Trump, he has succeeded beyond his wildest dreams yet he has been generous to his employees and many who have suffered due to no fault of their own, only asking that hard work and dedication be the road they follow in the future. Despite his outspokenness and brashness, many of the good things he has done are done so privately and discreetly, not expecting open praise or credit for what he has done.  But the bottom line with Trump is he's a "doer", and he won't take no for answer, hence, his political success as a rookie when almost all deemed it impossible.

In the case of Hillary's accomplishments, they primarily involve advancement by way of the coattails of her husband, President Bill Clinton.  He gave her the limelight as First Lady and later as a major party influence created the opportunity for her to run for a safe seat in New York for the United States Senate.  Later, under Obama, she was appointed Secretary of State and we must ask, would her background have qualified her for the position without the pressure of her husband and Obama's desire to keep her on a close tether?  The answer is a clear NO.  In all likelihood, Obama also was inclined to give her the prestigious position to keep her under control.

And then there is the issue of personal riches. Hillary Clinton has produced absolutely nothing, but it's clear that she used her influence to advance her personal wealth and that of her husband. It began in Arkansas when Bill was governor, continued in the White House and really went on steroids as Secretary of State.  Seriously, who would pay a quarter of a million dollars and up to Hillary Clinton for a speech?  Absolutely no one would do so. She's boring and even had husband Bill nodding last night in Philadelphia but the promise of influence led many groups, including foreign governments, lobby groups and universities to "invest" for their future.

Contrast that with Trump, who has worked hard to attain success. Yes. he has made deals and has had a few failures; that is true with any large business involved in multiple corporations but he has put thousands to work including many women in management positions and has truly lived the American dream while also opening the doors to that dream for countless others.

So there you have it.  Donald Trump is a "doer", a mover and shaker to create things while Hillary is a "taker" and user, always putting her self interest first, whatever the cost and no matter who pays.  That should make the difference clear for anyone with two eyes to see.  I only hope all America is watching and paying attention.

Perhaps the real reason rests in the stark difference between the two candidates, a difference that colors everything they do.

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton exist in two different worlds, worlds developed by their upbringing and their experience.  And the difference is stark.

In the case of Donald Trump, he believes that good planning, hard work and the willingness to take risk are key elements of success and he has successfully accomplished great things in the building industry and has been rewarded accordingly. For Donald Trump, the world is an exciting place offering great opportunity for those who are willing to carefully plan what they want to do and work hard to accomplish it. Donald was pushed by his father and motivated to be his own boss and early accepted risk.  His education at the Wharton School of Business helped inculcate those developments and risk became a key component.  is the key component, but when it is overcome great success follows.  In the case of Hillary, a student of collectivism in college which placed nd the impact of their environmenttraining and the philosophy that was accordingly developed.

Trump Presser Destroys Democrat Argument: The Meltdown Begins

Picture
Once again Donald Trump has taken the air out of the Democrats' sails and they are apoplectic with panic and nowhere is it noticed more than in the responses from their bought and paid for media hacks.   It happened during Donald's late morning press conference yesterday where he took all questions asked, handled them deftly and he basically dismantled the entire narrative of the Democrats the night previously, putting out the facts that the media won't report.

One of the most memorable moments was when he chastised the press for trying to overload him with ridiculous questions in his frequent pressers while Hillary has not held a presser in two hundred and thirty-five days with nary a question from the mdida.

But the thing that really struck home was his sarcastic comment about the Russians. Trump in a mocking way said that the Russians, if they find the classified emails which Clinton sent and so far haven't been, should publicize them. He further mocked that they would be well rewarded by the media, knowing full well that the media would be the last entity on earth to release such data.  But the media wasn't bright enough to pick up on the sarcasm and tried to turn the tables by saying that they believe Trump committed a grave national security violation by asking a foreign power to commit espionage.  In so stating and also echoed by the Clinton camp, the howls of outrage about Trump violating the law openly confirmed that there were in fact classified missing files in the mix that were kept on Hillary's insecure server, the first time that the Democrats have admitted it. In one fast sweep, Trump got them to admit what they have done and they still don't realize their mistake at this hour.

The other interesting point is that the Democrats themselves are the ones who started the story that Russian hackers, perhaps contracted or supported by Vladimir Putin himself, actually had the material.  Trump had never previously indicated such a thing.  He was just playing along with the narrative and, as he expected, they panicked and made their own "pickle" worse.

Never before have we seen any Republican to take it to the Democrats like Trump in his press conference and it is very refreshing.  He refuses to operate like a McCain, a Romney or a Bush, taking constant jabs from the Democrats without ever firing his own shot.  No, Trump is a fighter and the Democrats and the press have no idea how to handle it.  They are so used to managing the process, keeping the normally timid Republicans on the defensive.  They find themselves in a new ball game this year and the polls are indicating that Trump's message is getting through.

Hopefully the Republican candidate is getting in his groove, the groove that got him going in the first place.  He needs to just stay away from criticism of Republicans and keep the guns aimed at the Democrats. Donald has howitzers to use against the light machine guns of the Democrats and if he keeps the focus on Hillary and the issues, especially national security, immigration and border control, jobs or lack thereof, and getting control of spending and the budget, his strength will only grow.

Trump is by no means a conservative in the traditional mold.  But he does tend to manage his business with sound principles, has a family which shows a clean cut and wholesome style of life and he is willing to stand his ground.  And he truly loves his country and wants her to get her greatness back. It's what we need, America, and it can go a long way to turning this train wreck known as Obama's America back on the right course.

Upcoming weeks should be quite interesting to say the least and the debates should be real eye openers.  The match up between Tim Kaine, a full bore liberal trying to pose as a moderate, and Mike Pence, a good conservative Christian and family values man, should be interesting as well.  So stay tuned, folks, it's gonna' be a momentous final rush to the White House.  Let the close order combat begin on the big stage.

With a World in Turmoil, I'm Going to the Dogs

PictureVal and Sal, half-grown
With the news full of violence, hatred and vile actions, today is a day to turn attention to good things and the many blessings that we have.  First and foremost we need to get our hearts in tune with a loving God who wants us to live by His Word and then we need to just lighten things up with thoughts that are pleasant.  This is not to suggest that we avoid the real issues of our time, like the sordid state of our political system, but sometimes we just need a break to get ourselves in a better mood to cope with what's about us.

As mentioned, God always must come first for He is the one who will guide us and give us comfort through His glorious Trinity, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Father created us, the Son gives us the opportunity for salvation and the Spirit is that Third Person of God who enters us to guide us toward the Way, the Truth and the Life if we only open our hearts.  But then there are other persons and various living things to take care of and love for the wonders that God has given us through His love.

One of my favorites that cheer me up and make me laugh even in times of woe are the dogs that my wife and I are blessed to have in our family.  None are more special than the two fellows pictured above.  Their names are Val and Sal and they are half brothers.  We intended to only bring one into our lives,  but little brother needed a home as well and we learned that this particular breed, the Great Pyrenees, does much better in pairs.

We were looking for a dog who would be a good shepherd for our small non-working farm.  We have a few other dogs, barn cats, horses and chickens and over the years we noted an  increase in predatory animals dropping but including possum, raccoons and coyotes.   There are even a few Florida black bear and a Florida panther or two in the nearby swamps and we have lost a few animals along the way including a few barn cats, geese and chickens.  The Great Pyrenees came highly recommended for just such a situation.

My wife brought them home, first Val then later Sal.  Val, short for Valentino, was her surprise present to me on Valentine's Day. Sal, for Salvador, at the time still too young to be weaned, would follow a few months later. His name was selected since the breed has a Spanish origin in the Pyrenees mountains of Northern Spain.  They are stocky, thick coated and of very good temperament, unless the need for protection is noted, such as the presence of a stranger or wild animal.  They don't attack, just watch from a distance, sometimes showing the facial expressions of a wolf while growling and barking with a very deep, but not sharp, bark.  We've even seen them at the fence across from a hungry coyote trying to get near the chicken coops and the intruder quickly thinks better of trying anything.

During the heat of the day they disappear; they have dug a den under our raised storage building and rest there until late afternoon when they come out.  But when they do come out, they look for us for they know it is feeding time for the horses.  Being very loving, they follow close behind, demanding some love and attention which is always gladly returned. We always feed them in the barn after the other animals and just love to watch them enjoy their meal with the munching and crunching of the horses in their stalls in the background.  The two boys constantly look up as if to say thank you.

Later, they lift up our hearts, rough house with each other in a show better than TV and join us on the deck as we enjoy the late afternoon breeze on the deck at the end of a hot Florida day.  Then they take up residence for the night, one on the front porch, the other at the kitchen door, always vigilant for any sight or sound of action near the gate or the fence lines.  Like soldiers on guard duty, the make regular rounds, each on opposite sides of the fenced in area insuring that all the animals are safe for the night.

It's really clear that Valentino is my dog and Salvador is my wife's.  And Salvador undoubtedly would never allow any harm to come to her.  He is always watchful of whatever she does when outside.

Since my wife brought them home we have had nary an accident or loss of any  animals due to intruders.  And the joy and love they provide with their gentle manner with us makes us forget any troubles of the day.  They are truly one of God's great gifts for us and are so very special.

So when you have a bad day, or the world is getting you down with all of the violence and hatred that sometimes fills the airwaves, take time out for special joy from all of the good things that God has available for us.  And if you do happen to have a dog, let them help you put  a smile on your face and lighten your heart.  They truly are man's best friend and all they require is a little love, some food and water and the love and devotion they return is immense.

Thank you, Lord, for these wonderful dogs and help us to care for, love and enjoy their company for many years to come.  And for today, I'm just going to "go to the dogs"; there is always time for politics tomorrow.  Sadly, that snark never goes away.

God bless you all.

DEMOCRAT SMOKESCREEN: THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING!!

7/26/2016

Picture
The smiling caricature of Hillary Clinton is probably not representative of how she really feels today.  Under the gun with lots of pressure from the impact of her lying past, she now faces the Wikileaks issue of her emails and she is desperately seeking a new angle to take the heat off and send it instead on a "wild goose chase".

Spokesman Robby Mook made the case yesterday for the email scandal being the fault of the Russians, that they had sent 'actors' into to Democratic National Committee to gain access to the information for use by, of all people, Vladimir Putin.  Really, Robby, actors?

Mook went on to say that the information is coming from "experts" without identifying who or what their qualifications were. And to whet the appetites of a willing Hillary-supportive media, he ended by saying that some surmised that it was done to impact the election, likely to support Donald Trump.  For the Donald's part, he just shrugged it off and said it was what we should expect from Hillary, just more lies.

Well, the FBI jumped right on it and all of the talking heads in the Hillary camp have shifted the narrative to the hack being the real issue here.  The FBI has taken the bait as they would be expected to do since it is clear they are also now in the tank once more to keep her viable in this year's election.  It could very well be that the Russians did hack the DNC and Hillary's computers.  Hacking of computers is something that both the Russians and Chinese have been successfully doing against our weak government security operations for years.   And if it is the Russians, Putin would likely be blessing it to just get even.

Why would he bless the hacking?  Vladimir Putin remembers well in his 2011 reelection that voter fraud was a question brought up by Hillary.  As Secretary of State, she made a point of saying that an independent investigation of the Russian election should be made by an international body.  The Russian leader has a long memory and he probably just decided that paybacks are "hell" and he is probably laughing while the gullible American public seems so shocked.

But the real question should be this: Who cares if the Russsians hacked the records?  While we know that it is important for American information to be secure, the lack of security was caused by our own government and Hillary's lack of competence  and the issue is the content of the emails, not how someone got them.

Hillary and her former president husband have a longt track record of changing the narrative and obfuscating and issue to keep the truth at bay.  Don't fall for the bait, America, stick to the subject and focus on the content of what she and others in her party did.  The adverse impact on freedom for, and safety of, American citizens under a republican form of government must be foremost.  If Putin indeed has the information and puts it out there for all to see,  keep the blame on Hillary and her cohorts for they are the true culprits that must be held accountable, for the entire blame originates with them in the first place.  As for Mr. Putin, he will just continue to do what he does best: spy.  After all, he came from the KGB and is a master of it.

Let's get to the bottom of the evil and unlawful deeds that the Clintons and their party have done and hold them accountable.  No one, not even Hillary Clinton, should ever be above the law.

The Philly Democrat Convention: Let the Chaos Begin

7/25/2016

Picture
So delegates to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Convention will listen for the gavel to sound  today as they open their 2016 gathering in Philadelphia to put the crown on Hillary Clinton as their standard bearer to face Donald Trump in November.  Of course, no one knows if anyone will pay attention to that gavel sound since the disorder in the Democratic organization makes Trump's problems look bland indeed.  There's Wikileaks, Black Lives Matter getting big play on the speaker's platform (mothers of the thugs), Bernie speaking early on and the delegates largely resigned to pushing the button for whoever their masters have selected behind closed doors.  But this is only the start of the problems faced.

Believe it our not, there is even a report of Sanders' supporters holding a bean supper, asking attendees to load up on the gaseous food so that they can greet Hillary with an odor representing just how much her candidacy stinks.  And, of course, as a Bernie trademark it will be a free supper. You really can't make this up.

And now word has also come out that the Philadelphia Police Union has filed a major letter of protest with the DNC about the special place being given to family members of the murderers of so many police officers in recent years in America.  The union rightly stated that it is an absolute disgrace that Clinton and her party would pander to these people while ignoring the criminal activities that they committed and the death of those who work diligently to protect the good people of this nation.  It is likely that the Democrats will learn the hard way that blue lives really do matter and now the Dems are trying to quell that outrage by offering a few words for the police.

But here's the icing on the cake.  Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the leader of the DNC and one who worked so hard to guarantee Clinton her coronation, announced that she will resign from the party chair at the conclusion of the convention.  The Wikileaks uproar caught up with her and she will take the fall, plus she now will go home to face a formidable challenge to her own congressional seat.  Trying to minimize the damage, she met this morning for breakfast with the Florida Democratic delegation to a cacophony of boos, jeers and cat calls.  Sorry, Debbie, but all the rumors about what you were doing have now been proven to be true.

So we're just warming up, folks, and tonight's opening session should add more heat to the fire.  Speakers tonight will include Michelle Obama herself, Elizabeth Warren and even Bernie.  As you're listening, compare what you hear to what was said at last week's Republican session, minus the punditry raves, and it should be very clear (if you are a red blooded God fearing American) that you don't want any part of what Hillary and company have to offer.

Maybe we can look back later and call it either the "Comedy Hour"or the "Little House of Horrors".  Either way, it should make your decision for November very easy.

North Florida Writer Live Off the Air at Least for Now

After much thought and deliberation, I have suspended my internet radio program at least for now as the technical glitches have grown over the last few months.  And oh, how I missed doing my weekly special program, Sunday Morning Coming down this weekend, but I will start doing a special Sunday Morning Coming Down written devotional starting next Sunday.

My decision was based upon some significant audio and transmission problems that were encountered in the last few months.  A number of programs have dropped even though the weather was perfect and in the last few days before stopping the service the sound was tailing off in volume as well.  My computer was working effectively, my new phone in internet system and the satellite connection was working well, but something was just going on beyond my control and I wasn't happy with the quality.  So I decided to leave the Blog Talk Radio system and consider the possibilities.  I might instead just devote more time to writing my commentaries, opinion pieces and devotionals.  I do enjoy thatand my  internet site and blog works very well, so maybe it's just the best thing.  In any event I'm sorry it came to this but I think it's the best thing, at least for now.  I'll never say never.  Anyway I hope you have had a blessed Sunday and youu have your spiritual batteries recharged to face another day.

God bless you all and let's all pray for America, shall we.

Another Day of Terror and Madness in Germany

7/22/2016

PictureBeautiful Munich
Less than two weeks after an axe wielding radical Islamic terrorist attacked Germans on a train in Wurzburg, Germany, the beautiful and historic Bavarian city of Munich was the site of another horrific attack yesterday.  It took place adjacent to a major shopping mall in a McDonald's.  At least nine are dead plus the shooter who apparently committed suicide.  Many were children.

A witness at very close range said he shouted "Allahu Akhbar" followed by "I am German" before opening fire.  He has since been identified as an Iranian-German with dual nationality.  Latest reports indicate police are examining the possibility of a fake Facebook ad for free food at the McDonald's as a possible lure used to bring young people to the establishment.

Being familiar with Germany and Munich, this situation which has been partially caused by the foolish actions and stubborn delusion of Chancellor Angela Merkel, is outrageous.  Innocent civilians have been spat upon, harassed, robbed, assaulted, raped and murdered by supposed "refugees" primarily from Syria and Africa who are mostly male and of  military age.  Why are they not back in their homeland protecting their families instead of coming to Europe to destroy a number of nations?  The answer is largely the result of Merkel's blind allegiance to the corrupt European Union and her desire to bring in able bodied workers to a country with a low birthrate.  The problem with her plan is that most of those arriving have no desire for assimilation or finding jobs, preferring instead to live off the welfare dole as leaches on society while they prey on the German people.  It is clear from their actions that they are filled with hate, showing no appreciation to those who think they are providing a humanitarian service.

Sadly, the same mentality is firmly rooted here in America courtesy of the Obama Administration.  Just like the Europeans, we have allowed ourselves to open our borders with no enforcement and permit any and all comers to enter America, most coming for the "freebies" and making no commitment to America other than becoming a ward of the state. Furthermore, just like Europe, we require nothing in return and are allowing separate communities which are even here starting to operate under Sharia law internally.  A nation cannot survive without borders and without adherence to our laws and if we continue down this road, what we are now seeing routinely in Europe will be a regular occurrence in the United States. In fact, we've already seen many examples  of where this leads with disastrous outcomes.

So when we pray for those who have suffered so terribly in Munich yesterday, including both the dead and those they've left behind, let's pray for people the world over who are facing the radical Muslim terror that is facing so many across the world:

Dear Lord,  We thank you for the gift of life that you have given us and we also know that everything that happens has a reason although we often don't understand it.  Help us to turn our hearts to you, listen to your guidance and respond in a way that you would have us do.  Many are being persecuted around the world including large numbers of Christians and Jews and even Muslims who don't subscribe to the scourge of radicalism that has been accepted by so many these days.  Help us to stand for you, take the actions that the Holy Spirit provides when we listen to His wisdom and fight this scourge as you would have us do.  With you we are everything and without you we are nothing.  Make us strong and resolute in this fight and be with those who are suffering and in pain over the loss of so many. We ask in Jesus' name, Amen.

Get on your full battle armor of God, America.  He'll lead us and our German friends in the right way if we commit to him.  Now is the time before it is too late.

Trump-Pence 2016: The Battle for the White House is On!

7/22/2016

PictureTrump-Pence 2016
So the Republicans have completed their convention in Cleveland, thankfully without any major bloodshed or violence on the streets, and now the delegates will head home to start the hard part of the journey: defeating Hillary Clinton.  A balanced ticket, with a flamboyant, outspoken and fearless urban New Yorker and a more soft spoken, Midwestern evangelical paired to offer something for everyone, is ready to roll.

Now the Left will tell you that this will never work, that Donald Trump will be a disaster and that the Democrats will be a shoo-in, yet anyone who thinks that is drinking something heavier than Kool-Aid.  And while Donald Trump is certainly no Ronald Reagan, he does possess the drive, determination and go-power to win the election and if he does, he will be smart to use Mike Pence as a great go-between with the Congress of the United States.  Trump has the business organizational savvy and Pence knows the inner-workings of Congress and is still well liked by the many who are still in office.

The division remaining within the Republican Party has been minimized and I think more will be done to pull those few outcasts back in the fold.  Trump will draw from the huge amount of talent that the party has and put together a team that will make the nation proud. Picture that in comparison to the Democrats, who present themselves as opposed to all things traditionally American as they try to continue the destruction of the country which Barack Obama has wrought.

In politics, most Americans are familiar with a general rule that if you can find a candidate who you agree with eighty percent of the time you should embrace them.  Listening to Donald Trump's remarks about so many subjects, it seems that anyone who loves America should find that number contained in his remarks.  Like any politician, we can always find areas of disagreement and we should, for none of us if we are realistic will agree on everything.  But when comparing what was presented last night to what we are sure to hear next week, it is certain to be like comparing the America we want to a wheezing and dying banana republic.

Pay attention to the Democrats next week.  Listen to the speeches and what they stand for.  Do more research on Hillary and her running mate, be it Tim Kaine, Tom Vilseck or whoever.  Don't limit your review to the mainstream media which we know is in the tank, no, look across the spectrum.  The conclusion should be so obvious that you really can't miss it.  Opportunity versus a lower standard of living.  Individualism versus collectivism. Continuation of a bloated bureaucracy and budget versus a streamlined and efficient operation.  A military which can handle any contingency versus one which has become nothing more than a social experiment.  And a nation with borders and tough entry standards versus one with no controls and no checks on whoever wants to enter.  The list can go on forever.  Compare and contrast the two campaigns and what they stand for and go with the winner.

Donald Trump is a winner.  He will work hard for America and for Americans, putting us first.  Let's just do this thing and Make America Great Again.
