"No Deportation Without Representation"

Now I know some of you are looking at the quotation on the subject line and thinking to yourselves that this writer must have lost his mind.  In answering, I must say that if I had created this quote I would have to agree with that thought but I assure you it's not mine.  The illustrious Nancy Pelosi, former Speaker of the House and current House Minority Leader is the culprit. Ms. "California Dreamin'" must be enjoying a mighty fine toke to think as she does.  Her endless rantings of nonsense are truly amazing.

When I heard she had made this statement yesterday on the radio I thought about our brave Patriots and the Founding Fathers and all the hardships they went through to give America the gift of more freedom and blessings than anywhere else in the world.  And the famous quote that Pelosi stole her thought from,"No Taxation Without Representation", was, of course, the battle cry of the Boston Tea Party.
So I guess Nancy has created the Progressive Tea Party, a misnomer if ever there was one.

Poor delusional Nancy, she thinks she is so intelligent with her "moonbat" analysis while most of the country laughs at her.  If you watch closely you can even see some of her Progressive media supporters grimace with a little smile indicating they know how foolish she sounds.  But Progressives always think they know what's better for everyone else so they tolerate Nancy's foolishness and use it as a weapon for their cause.

Just remember, America, illegal aliens have no right to enter and stay in the United States. Nothing is more important for a nation's sovereignty than her borders, for if she can't control who is allowed entry she is no longer a secure place for her citizens.  Of the thousands of illegal aliens who have trekked across the border with Obama's blessing, many have been from such places as China, India, Yemen and Africa.  Rampant disease infections and terrorism on foot are sure to be some of those who have walked into the country.  The next major disaster certainly won't be caused by someone coming in through JFK' it will likely come from a backpack.

Be alert if you want to remain alive and don't allow an ideologically driven Administration to silence you, that's what they want to do.  And as time goes on  and the critical nature of the disaster grows further, I only hope that we as a people do the right thing and take our country back both at the ballot box and in the war of ideas.  Hopefully even some of our current elected officials will get a spine in the interim.  Remember, those who support tyranny have no fresh ideas, they are living in the sordid past, creating something like a modern day medieval America.

God bless you and be safe, secure and alert.  With God's help and guidance we'll know what to do and by following His direction you will be comforted and ready for the glory that will ultimately be your own.

Obama to Netanyahu: The Height of Arrogance and Rudeness

PictureIsraeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu
Diplomacy between leaders is always a delicate thing, so when they meet or talk via phone the tone of the conversation is always important.  The conversation is usually framed in polite language designed to try and persuade and reach agreement on difficult matters while not harming the relationship.

Yesterday was an exception when the word came out about President Obama's harsh rhetoric and unbending dogma in dealing on the matter of Gaza with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  A transcript of the phone call was released by Israel's Channel 1 and has been confirmed by multiple sources.  Both governments, however, would not confirm this as is common in diplomatic circles. And Netanyahu, with a small country that needs American assistance, can't speak out loudly in public since he is in such a precarious situation.

The Prime Minister, a seasoned international player who lived and studied in the United States (he's a graduate of MIT), is acutely aware of the importance of America to his success and he has always cultivated careful and close relationships with American presidents.  Never before Obama has he ever been faced with an American Head of State who has clearly, and openly, sided with the terrorist Hamas organizations instead of Israel.  He has tried to work around this, but Obama has rebuffed him at every turn, and the recent outrageous visit by the hapless Secretary of State John Kerry to Jerusalem just further highlighted the problem.  And now the phone call from Obama, curt, ugly and demanding may very well have been the last straw.

Apparently what took several days ago was this.  Obama called the Prime Minister and told him that he must immediately declare an unconditional cease fire, that he was sure that Hamas would reciprocate.  When  Netanyahu responded by explaining that Hamas had broken the last five cease fires, Obama's response was that monitors would be provided to insure that was not the case.  And who would the two monitors be?  They would be Turkey and Qatar.

Turkey is now being governed by a man who hates Israel and wants her destroyed and Qatar is where the brave Hamas leadership comfortably lives while watching their minions die in the cesspool that Hamas has turned Gaza into.  And in response to the Prime Minister's concerns Obama said that Netanyahu was entitled to no input on the matter.

This followed Kerry's "shuttle diplomacy" to both Israel and her ally on the Gaza issue, Egypt, hawking a truce proposal that was just what Hamas wanted.  And after he was summarily turned down by both respective national leaders, Obama got his "dander" up which likely led to the phone call.

Why would Obama and Kerry act this way?  Why would they both show such a bias against a country which has no other option than to defend herself in a hostile Middle East?  Well, perhaps the very viewpoints of the President and his Secretary of State tell us the reasons.  It may be just that simple.

President Obama was and is by his background a community organizer and activist.  Despite all the hype about his being a constitutional law professor, he was never any such thing, merely serving as lecturer with no tenure or firm job standing.  He was raised by a mother who didn't like the philosophy of the American experiment and took quite a fancy to Marxism.  His father, Barack, Sr., was a rabid anti-Colonialist who saw both Britain and America as states which furthered that cause.  And then, on top of that he was mentored by an avowed American Communist, Frank Marshall Davis, as a young man and, of course, spent a significant part of his youth in Muslim schools in Indonesia.

And there you have it for Obama.  He was taught to disapprove of American governance and leadership, developed a fondness for all things Muslim and was drawn to radicalism and surrounded himself with those of similar bent.  I don't think he's a believer in Islam as a religion because I think he sees himself as a religion unto himself, but it is clear that he is fond of Islam and certainly prefers it to all things American, including the Judeo-Christian ethic and the relationship between the two religions.

And what about John Kerry?  Well, Kerry showed his true colors as a young man when, after one of the shortest tours of duties in Vietnam he was returned home and actively protested and reported alleged atrocities by what should have been his "Band of Brothers".  Later a group offered plenty of evidence of his deception but, of course, we all know how the "Swift Boat" patriots became tarred and feathered by the press.

Kerry is a vowed socialist, a believer in the concept of the One World Order and has done all that he can to undercut the American military.  Further, he is clearly no diplomat, making major blunder after blunder and therein makes his country appear as a lighweight on the world stage which, unfortunately, seems to be the case.

Meanwhile, you have Bibi Netanyahu, a clear thinker, a true patriot who has given his life to the Jewish state, and one who stands strong for what he believes.  Is it any wonder then that Netanyahu has 82% favorable approval by his citizens on the Gaza matter while Obama hovers at home around 40%.

Open your eyes and look at the truth of what is happening and you can come up with no other
conclusion than to support Israel.  She just wants to end the threat and then find peace which is lasting, something that requires a strong hand right now.

Word is even now slipping out from Gaza that their beleaguered citizens are fed up with Hamas.  Even they are realizing the serious mistake that they made by electing a terrorist government.  They have seen first hand the differences between the action of Jewish soldiers, who have field hospitals available even for enemy combatants and Hamas and its human shield approach.

It appears that Netanyahu clearly understands that there can be no peace with the right for Israel to exist unless he takes the cancer that is Hamas out.  For the first time in modern history it is clear that the United States government is no longer his good friend. So he announced yesterday that his people need to be prepared for a lengthy period of combat.  All good Americans need pray for the continued existence of Israel and stand by her side.  Otherwise we can expect nothing but brutality to continue in the region with its spread throughout the world.  Get ready, America, if Israel fails it is likely to be headed our way and soon.

Constitutional Crisis

I've always had great respect for Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama.  The Conservative Republican has never been afraid to stand up for the rule of law and he always been a leading advocate of controlling access to this country by illegals.  As a former judge, he understands the meaning and intent of the Constitution and he has devoted his political life to following its guidelines.

Yesterday he took to the Senate floor to call out the President on his unlawful attempt to bypass the Congress and the Constitution with his proposal to give executive amnesty to some five million lawbreakers who have entered the country illegally.  The good Senator challenged his fellow lawmakers to take a stand, saying that now is the time for them to either stand up for a nation under law or suffer the consequences of their shameful action before their constituents.

You see, in spite of what the mainstream media says and what the President fanatically pushes, an overwhelming majority of Americans know that the border is being swarmed by illegals and that Obama has tied the hands of the brave Border Patrol agents to do their jobs.  Most of them have been relegated to car pool duty, bringing illegals in to processing centers or even caring for young illegal children or mothers.  And the dirty little secret is that most of those being brought in are not young children or mothers, they are gang members and other older citizens not even covered by  Obama's illegal executive orders.

A poll released by The Economist/YouGov.com  shows that 80% of Americans want the illegals returned to their home country.  And when you broaden the scope of questioning to Obama's immigration policies in general, Obama only gets a 62% favorable rating from his own party.  Only 21% of citizens classifying themselves as independents, 32% of the moderates, 23% of whites and 42% of Hispanics approve.  So Obama doesn't even have a majority of Hispanic citizens, probably because so many of them think that any newcomers should have to follow our laws as many of them who have been naturalized did.  And while the black community isn't included, African Americans are rapidly finding out that the newcomers are likely to take the jobs of their young people, a group that already suffers from higher unemployment than anyone else in America.

America, maybe Obama truly wants a constitutional crisis, some even think he is deliberately pushing his opposition to file for impeachment thinking that the minorities in America will reward him by punishing those who propose it.  I myself don't think that impeachment is necessarily the way to go, but I also don't think that Obama has any clear sailing on things today as even his natural constituency sees that he has put himself above the law.  I think most Americans now recognize this.  Perhaps action by Congress to defund unconstitutional programs is the best course of action.

If he pulls the trigger on an executive amnesty for millions of illegals, I think the surge of American public opinion will be so great that even the spineless in Congress will have to take notice.  We Americans are a strange people, slow to rise to action, but when we do it becomes a tsunami that can't be ignored.  And great men like Jeff Sessions will always rise to the occasion to lead the way.

Let's send the President a message that he is wrong and must stand down.  Seal the border, return those who don't belong here, and then look at the law to determine IF they must be changed, not HOW.  Only then should the conversation continue.  And the convesation must be an open one, involving rank and file citizens, not dictated by Obama, the Chamber of Commerce, certainly not LaRaza, or weak kneed representatives who have lost touch with their constituents and their duty.

And once again, thank you, Senator Sessions, for standing up for the law and for common sense.  God bless you in the struggle ahead. We've got your back.

A Good Way to Judge Character

I am always saddened when I find a dog who has been abandoned.  Here on our farm over the years we have taken in a number of such poor creatures and given them a home and they have always turned out to be wonderful additions to the family.  One in particular was a mutt that was found in the gutter on a busy inner city street, a young puppy who was petrified.  She was brought to us by a friend who knew we would always have room for another dog.

She came to be known as Gretchen and despite some major spinal problems and a vet that recommended she be put to sleep, we decided to try and save her.  My wife was really the one; she just has a way with animals and she was the one to break the ice and win Gretchie's trust.

This wonderful dog responded to love and returned it one hundred fold and she ended up living a great and active life while she was with us.  She became the fetch champion, always greeting us with a ball in her mouth and a wagging tail. It was not until she was ten that her spinal issues returned with a vengeance, resulting in paralysis in her hind quarters which eliminated her ability to walk.

We found her one morning unable to get up, dragging herself by her front paws trying to come and greet us.
She was also in pain and we couldn't bear to watch her suffer and decided it was the time to let her go.  It was one of the saddest days on the farm and we buried her in a place of honor near the fence where she would bark at deer and other critters who would come by to visit periodically in the nearby pasture.

And I think to myself, what a joy and what a life we would have missed if she had died on that busy city street those years ago, unloved and unwanted.  We were blessed by her presence and she knew that she had a home where she mattered.

So I would urge anyone who has a dog to remember that you have a commitment to the animal when you bring it home.  A dog or any pet for that matter is not a toy or a fad; it's a living and breathing gift from God and is worthy of care and love.  Take your responsibility seriously and you will never regret it.  He doesn't expect you to take it lightly.

As Mahatma Gandhi  said many years ago, "
The greatness of a society and its moral progress can be judged by how it treats its animals".  And for each of us as individuals, it's also a pretty good indication of the quality of our individual character.  Act accordingly, you'll always be glad that you did for the rewards and great memories will astonish you.

The Sabbath Dawns

I always love the early morning whether it be at the beach or at home on the farm.  There's something about the early morning even in this, the hottest time of the year in Florida.  Everything is fresh and clean before the oppressive heat and noise fills the air.

But on Sunday, glorious Sunday, there is something different and I think the horses, dogs, cats and other animals pick up on it.  Could it be the eerie glow of the sun's rays shining through the rising mist?  No, that's not it.  How about the fresh dew dripping off of the barn's metal roof, refreshing when it drips on me in the high humidity?  It could be, but it's not.  Or what about shadows disappearing like the frost melting quickly as the warmth of the rising sun shines upon it?  Nope that's not it either.  All of these things can be seen on any morning if you take the time to watch its glory.

Then what could it be?  It's really quite simple; it's the Holy Spirit, springing forth with the energy of the Sabbath.  It beckons all to celebrate and worship our gracious God who has given us all of the splendor to enjoy while we borrow His earth for the short time that we spend here.  Oh, the Spirit is always present with us, but there's something about the meaning of God's day and our opportunity to worship Him with our fellow man that adds a touch that seems a little brighter and a little more joyous than on other days.  It must be the anticipation of His love which will be used to recharge our batteries for the week to come.

As I finish my chores and take a moment to watch the horses munch on their grain and hay, the dogs chase the barn cats in their endless game and I even catch a glimpse of a group of white egrets as they land adjacent to a flock of turkeys grazing in the pasture.  And then the barn radio chimes in with some of the most beautiful Christian music you could hear.  Beautiful and traditional hymns cast a melodic spell on the scene at hand and it adds so much delight to my little bit of Heaven right here on earth.  Oh, how I dearly love these moments and savor them, for I know that there is something different from any other day of the week and it must just be that it is Sunday, the Lord's Day, the special day that we put aside for Him.  If you don't treat it that way, you really don't know what you are missing, for he provides the answers and the guidance that we need so badly in a world that seems to be running out of control.

There really is just something special about Sunday and I hope each of you appreciate it and enjoy it wherever and whatever you do.  God's glory is a wonder that man can never replace or replicate and we need to humbly thank Him and honor Him for what He has done for us.

Go get your dose of the Holy Spirit to boost your faith in and devotion to the One who made us and then have a peaceful and loving day with your family and friends.  God bless.

Has Our Nation's Security Been Sold Out?

7/26/2014

Picture
The subject of national security, be it through military readiness as well as border security, is critical to our nation's very existence.  Unfortunately, actions of late lead anyone who can read to quickly understand that our current standing in these areas is weak and potentially crippling.

Our nation's security has definitely been sacrificed for dubious political motives and the sooner we all recognize and accept that fact, the quicker we will correct things and pull America out of the current international threat to our very existence.  This has been building for a long time and it's not just an issue where we conservatives can blame everything on Democrats.  There have been plenty of Republicans who have gone along with lax border security in their misguided effort to increase the flow of illegal immigrants, most of whom are either low skilled and the numbers likely include those coming for the worst motives.  And they have often stuck their noses in areas where we either didn't have the resources available, or the will, to finish the job.  Never start a combat action that you don't want to clearly win.

There has been nothing in recent months done on the border to preclude a terrorist from walking into the country with weapons which could cause major damage and death.  While we have the TSA hassling our own citizens at airports, our borders are porous and wide open.  And while our lack of a border policy and nearly non-existent border controls are a critical shortfall, we also have a critical problem which has been developing in our military since Obama took office.  We are at a weaker posture due to budget cuts, draw downs and social engineering than we have been in many years and all indications lead to the problem getting worse before it gets better.  At the same time the world is more dangerous than I can remember in my lifetime.

None
of these issues are due to the work of our brave military or our equally brave Border Patrol folks.  They are directly related to the policies of a President who wants us to be weak, wants our nation to be equal to all others instead of being exceptional.  He will do anything in his power to accomplish his goals including the use of any agency or any power that he can adjust to allow him to do so.  And he has made sure that only those who agree with or will not challenge his extreme progressive views are appointed to high positions in the various agencies and in the military.

Notice that I'm not saying that the agency heads and senior military officials are all true believers in the Obama political culture; I'm just saying that those that aren't
are either conspicuously silent or don't care.  In either case, they are either amoral, cowards or so career advancement oriented that they put their personal positions subordinate to their opportunities at any cost.

I think the military is where this is most apparent, just by looking at the number of senior military officials who have been purged suddenly from their duties or even in the body language of those still in place.  They continue to support  the President in the most outrageous strategic decisions while showing slight indications of displeasure in their motions and expressions.  We could certainly use a Peter Pace, a Douglas McArthur, or a George Patton right about now.

What's even more shameful is that most of the loyal opposition , the Republican national establishment and their Washington leadership, complains and complains and complains some more but will not stand up and fight.  Instead, John Boehner surrenders, Mitch McConnell does another backroom deal, and Reince Preibus justifies it while Karl Rove tries to expand upon it.  After what was seen recently in Mississippi, this group is really no better than the Democrats.  They might even be worse if you consider things from the viewpoint that they should no better.

So that leaves us with the question: What are we going to do about it?  Stay tuned for the answer for I think we'll know fairly soon.  This matter can't wait much longer and if we want to have a future, it had better be now.  I'm not talking about violence; I'm talking about a unified stand against what we know is wrong.   Perhaps a little bit of civil disobedience on a massive scale is in order, but whatever happens, better buckle those seat belts, it's going to get rough for a while.   Stay alert, stay strong, and stand for the real truth and meaning of the United States of America.

John Koskinen: Obamabot of the Week

7/25/2014

PictureIRS Commissioner Koskinen testifies.
I have been thinking for a while about how to best present some of the key players on Obama's team who have bought in to the deception of corrupt Socialism hook, line and sinker.  Never before in America have we had an administration so determined to break the backbone of America and never have we had a supporting cast member fill the  bill better than the IRS Commissioner, John Koskinen.  Oh, there are many others who reach his low level standard, but the look on his face when he is questioned just tells you right from the get go that this is not a man you can trust.

I have decided to name him my Obamabot of the Week, a dishonor awarded to a government official willing to sell his soul and his country to serve the cause of destroying America.  For this, my first such selection, I picked Koskinen not only for heading the agency that today clearly represents corruption and evil in the modern world but for his disgraceful performance while testifying before Congress several weeks ago and again this week.  To be able to sit there, spout doublespeak over and over again and keep a straight face shows his complete belligerence to the balance of powers and his lack of truth and honor.

The IRS has been one of the principal agencies to work on fulfilling Obama's goal of "transforming America".  And it has the special position of being able to strike fear into the hearts of Americans everywhere with its confiscatory powers and its ability to find you guilty before you have even been able to explain yourself.  The agency under Obama has carried out
a double time increase of the tactics it has used in the past and it is long past the point of even caring what the public or even Congress thinks.

Commissioner Koskinen continually spouts a negative venom in his answers with his arrogance and willingness to run circles around the issues without ever providing a real answer.  And following Lois Lerner, a woman who showed disdain both on her face and in her answers, even having done so previously when working with the Federal Elections Commission, is worse than bizarre, I think it is downright criminal.  Realizing that she was being caught, she and her agency actually destroyed material and apparently access to information from her computer although computer expert are now saying that the material is somewhere.  But rather than being transparent and cooperative, Mr. Koskinen's agency is going out of its way to hide the truth.

These people really don't care; they have taken the mantra of their leader Barack Obama and have refined it dramatically.  And as of today, nothing has changed.  Congressman Trey Gowdy is working diligently to penetrate their wall of silence but, of course, the Democrats are doing everything they can to stymie him at ever turn.  They also don't want the truth to come out because there is considerable evidence that they played a lead role in instigating the very issues being investigated.  When a politician interjects himself into the requesting or review of audits of private citizens, such as Congressman Elijah Cummings and perhaps even a Democratic Senator have possiblky done, he is clearly stepping out of bounds since the IRS is supposed to be an independent agency.

Ruining lives, destroying families and their finances and showing no remorse whatsoever for singling out Conservative Americans for these actions is what John Koskinen, his predecessor, and the many like Lois Lerner who are politically biased, is a disgrace to America and frankly is pure evil.

I wish Congressman Gowdy well but he is going up against tough odds, especially since I don't know if his own party has the stomach to fight the battle to the end and he is sure to face major personal attacks, that's what the Left loves to do.  Republicans have time and time again let us down since capturing the House with the Tea Party support let us down.  Hopefully, they will stay the course here and remember that the power of the purse is strong; they can take meaningful action if they only have the will.  The public wants action and is aware of the hanky-panky that has been going on.

And as for Mr. Koskinen, well, this is an UN-award which is truly deserved.  You, sir, are now an Obamabot of the highest order and I hope your disservice brings added incentive to the effort to pass the Fair Tax.
It's clearly time to abolish the IRS and make taxes simple.  That's what Americans want and need.

We Think We Are So Smart

7/24/2014

Picture
We humans think we are so smart.  We think that our technology is so advanced that there is nothing we can't solve and we go about our daily life often without a real clue to what is important and meaningful..... that is, until we really "mess up" and look for help.

If you have a dog, watch him closely and see what he does and how he reacts.  You'll quickly realize, likely much to hour surprise, just how much smarter he sometimes is than you, particularly when it comes to common sense matters.

How many times have you been out at a picnic or some other outdoor activity when you are totally surprised by a violent thuderstorm?  Often this is even the case despite storm warnings having been issued in plenty of time.  My departed dog Gretchie, a wonderful rescue "mutt" with a big heart and keen sense of her surroundings, always knew in advance when the weather was going to change, often whimpering to let me know.

Or how about times when you have ventured places which are not really a good idea on a dark night?  Dogs have their sixth sense "radar" operating in full gear, sensing danger and getting ready.  My two Great Pyrenees station themselves under our side deck where they hear and see anything approaching.  If they sense it could possibly be a foe, they will go under two trees in the darkness and start their deep but powerful bark which only a complete fool would disregard.

And you've probably noticed how when people approach you they measure the scene and quickly can tell from body language if they are friend or foe.  They don't get "taken to the cleaners" like we do.

And what do they require for their loyalty and sometimes bravery that they are willing to display for us, often at the risk of harm to themselves?  Just a little love, maybe a friendly word or pat on the head and a little food and water.  Can you imagine many humans showing devotion for so little?  Oh, there are some but not many but, then again, they don't call dogs man's best friend for nothing.

And besides all of the above, there is nothing like coming home after a long day at work, tired and often discouraged, to be met by a wagging tail and smiling eyes.  I have been fortunate to have  a number of dogs who knew the time of day I would be returning and be waiting at the gate for me to drive up the lane.  Somehow it totally changed my outlook and erased any cares I might have.  No way I could avoid breaking out into a huge smile and giving them a quick pat and a rub.

So next time you think that you have all the answers, check things out with your dog.  Or, if you don't have one, consider adding one to your family.  The security, loyalty and love the give is priceless and it certainly adds to the joy of life.  The good Lord knew what He was doing when he created them, for they are truly His gift to all of us.

Dogs, you just gotta' love 'em.

Israel's Right to Self Defense

7/23/2014

Picture
Imagine living in a country which is very small, has only 7.9 million citizens, is surrounded by 370 million people of whom a large majority hate her and being subjected to round the clock rocket attack where a five minute warning is all you have.  If this was in your backyard, would you feel justified in defending yourself?  Of course you would.  Survival instincts always come to the forefront in war situations.

This, my friends, is the situation in Israel, of late being subjected to a higher volume of potential death and destruction than ever before even though she has suffered from this type of "neighborliness" since the modern creation of her statehood after World War II.  And while so many Americans wail and moan about the death of children from Gaza, I think it is important to note that the cause of their death is Hamas, not Israel.  They have deliberately chosen to use the children and many others as human shields and, after disaster strikes, they parade crying mothers with their wounded and even dead children in front of the cameras in the attempt to gain media support for their evil cause.  And, of course, the liberal mainstream generally buys their line in its entirety, inadvertently putting a positive spin on an evil organization.

Time and again Israel has agreed to ceasefires and peace agreements only to have them violated by Hamas which never negotiated in good faith.  The most recent action has been caused by another broken truce with up to 160 rockets being fired into Israel daily from Gaza as well as some from Lebanon and Syria.  And Israel's Iron Dome missile shield has been very effective, yet it is impossible to stop all incoming missiles due to sheer volume.

Look, I don't want to see children suffering and die either, but I am so tired of people either putting the blame on Israel or saying that for peace she should just stop fighting back.  Every nation has the right to self defense and no country has made more effort when it has had to respond militarily to try to give warning of where the action will be.  Israel informed Gaza that the zone of military action should be evacuated by women and children, yet when her military rolled across the checkpoint and the action started, many civilians remained, some directly where the missile launchers were located.  And, by giving advance warning, the element of surprise was compromised by Israel in her attempt to reduce casualties, thereby resulting in additional Israeli casualties.

My liberal friends like to say that peace must be achieved no matter what the cost.  They say that it is easy to do so, just stop the action and report any truce violations to the international community.  By international community I assume they are talking about the UN, an organization where the General Assembly is hapless and subject to a heavy anti-Jewish slant.  This is the same version of the truth and naivete that allowed Neville Chamberlain to declare "peace in our time" in 1938 at Munich, and we know what happened quickly thereafter, with World War II and the death of 6 million Jews and millions of soldiers on both sides.

No, my friends, the only way to achieve real peace is through strength and Israel will not surrender to the whim of an idealistic world. She wants peace, we all want peace, but peace will only come when Hamas and like forces in the Middle East acknowledge Israel's right to statehood, something they just won't do.

And the United States, normally the leader of working out arrangements, has completely caved to the views of Hamas as Obama's envoy, the haughty John Kerry, continues to blame Israel for everything and deliver ridiculous demands.  Even today, after visiting Israel, he then flew to Cairo to meet with President el Sisi in an effort to further peace. Guess what he found out?  Egypt and Israel have already come up with a potential plan which Egypt would be willing to monitor.  Hamas refuses to even consider it, just like the Palestinians have done ever since the days of Yasser Arafat.  If they want peace, they will get rid of their rockets, get to work trying to build a livable community in Gaza instead of turning it into a teeming slum, and come to the table with openness and honesty.  If not, Israel will uncover the tunnels, destroy the rockets, and do what is necessary to protect her citizens.

So, in a nutshell, peace can be relative easy but only if.  And the if is a big one and which must be resolved first.  God bless Israel, the land of Abraham, the chosen people of the Old Testament and the birthplace of Jesus Christ. I pray that she will be safe and that the decent people of Gaza somehow demand that Hamas come to its senses so that the killing can stop, but pacifism in the face of terror is never an option.  Until that is realized, the battle between Semite cousins will continue as it has for thousands of years.

Speak Loudly But Carry No Stick.......Unless

I've always loved American history and even today I enjoy studying about our former Presidents and other leaders to see what made them tick.  One of my favorites for study has always been Teddy Roosevelt, a man of small stature who had severe asthma as a youngster  but was determined to overcome his his weaknesses and develop a mystique that would capture the heart of America.

He spent time as a teenager and young man in the Dakotas learning how to survive and live in the great outdoors and, in the process, conquered his asthma and developed a passion for nature and all of her creatures.  He loved the cowboy way and became a pretty good boxer as well.  His grit came to serve him well as a cavalry officer in the Spanish-American War.

While I know some say he was one of the principal creators of the Progressive cause, he nonetheless showed great courage while fighting in Cuba, clawed his way into a position of power and was the leading political sponsor of the creation of our national parks.  And the one slogan by which America and the world knew him, "Speak Softly But Carry a Big Stick", came from his willingness to use the threat of American power, be it a battleship off the coast of South America in support of the Panama Canal project or the landing of Marines in North Africa to save an American citizen, all knew that Teddy Roosevelt was not a man to be taken lightly.  American sovereignty and American initiative were never in doubt under his leadership. Whatever else might have been thought of him, no one ever doubted his love for America.

Contrast his image and slogan with an offshoot  slogan that I think should be applied to President Obama: Speak Loudly but Carry No Stick......Unless.  What was that, you say?  Well let me explain.  I think you can all understand the first part of the slogan, for Obama clearly speaks as if he is the strongest man in the room but then fails to ever back it up on the international scene.  From his early days of apologizing for America to his current unwillingness to even attempt to gain the release of our Marine in Mexico while allowing the rest of the world free entry, he and his representatives have become the laughing stock of the world.  Secretary of State John Kerry routinely puts his foot in his mouth and alienates those who should be our friends.  The foreign policy of this team usually sides with those who hate us while rebuking those who share traditional American values, like Israel.

And on those rare occasions where he talks tough to foreign nations, it is always all talk, no bite.  That's why I came up with the comment about speaking loudly but carrying no stick.  But I'll bet you wonder what the

.......UNLESS   means, right?

Simply put, it's this.  Obama is happy to apply the use of the big stick when dealing with those who disagree with him in America.  The big stick is evident in the treatment of our veterans at the VA, the harassment of good conservative Americans by the IRS,  and the relegation of our Border Patrol to babysiting duty  instead of protecting the border.  And to add insult to injury, today he even dissed a couple of our national heroes, former astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins at the White House by not allowing press coverage of the brief event.  The reason?  He was in a hurry to go to another fund raiser, the only thing that seems to really get his undivided attention.

So I can imagine that the ghost of Old Teddy wanders around his Sagamore Hill estate on Long Island wondering what happened to America.  How could she elect a man with such un-American values and actions?  And how could so many people with similar ideals have been available to serve his destructive goals?  I wish I could answer that, Teddy, but I can't, but I guess history will provide us with the answer unless we fail to survive.

Stand up for America, folks. It's crunch time. We all must vow to pay attention and do our own homework at election time so that we never make such a big mistake as a nation again.  We are very near the tipping point.  Let's not allow the land we live to go over the cliff.
