A group of climate scientists and global warming-supporting environmental tourists accompanying them on a cruise to the region are finding out the hard way. Wanting to see the impact of global warming and its disastrous impact on the ice sheet, they find themselves stranded at sea, trapped in ice between 12 and 15 feet deep. A Chinese icebreaker has already turned back from a rescue attempt and now the people on board are waiting for a stronger vessel from Australia to make an attempt. They have gotten close to the the general area but have been held back by strong winds, roiling seas and snow.
Attempting to cut through ice in rough waters is like trying to walk on razor blades. One bad move and the hull will be split wide open by the jagged ice as it breaks into large chunks. And I'm sure that the global warming so-called scientists and true believer friends with them can't believe their eyes. Unfortunately, that's what happens when you become a zealot about something and fail to face reality right in front of you. Their folly could very well cost them their lives if a rescue can't be made. This is the warmest time of year in the Antarctic and when the cold winter weather starts to return they will be locked in place for a long, long time. If someone doesn't rescue them before then it is likely that their ship will turn into a frozen funeral parlor.
So all you Al Gore phony theorists need to realize this. Your concept of global warming or climate change or whatever flavor of the month you call it this year is phony. The Antarctic is unusually cold, the ice in the Arctic is coming back in record amounts and 2013 has been a very cold year. And yet you try to convince us that when it snows too much it's climate change, when it's 80 it's climate change and even a moderate 55 is climate change. The truth? It's all your attempt to use it as an excuse for taxation and One World government under the auspices of the United Nations. Sorry, it isn't going to work. You've been caught and figured out.
This situation we watch from afar just tells us it's time for America to return to a policy of using our God-given resources wisely and for the good of her people. This means responsible use of fossil fuels while we identify renewable energy sources that work, not windmills that kill bald eagles or freeze up in winter. Stop the madness. End the irrational push for world control under false pretenses and face the facts. Oh, and by the way, why don't you global warmists put your energy into finding a way to free your friends from the Antarctic ice flow before they die a slow and gruesome death.
I do pray that the people currently a prisoner by the ice are rescued and returned safely. I certainly don't want them to die but, remember, Antarctica has always been and will always be a hostile place. When you travel to such a place with it's rapidly changing and unmerciful weather patterns, bad things can easily happen. The rest of us need to realize this and learn from the situation. It's why we were endowed by God with the ability to reason in the first place.
God bless you all.
