America is broke. We are broke to the point where we don't even know how broke we are. Think about it: seventeen trillion dollars. The human mind can't even conceive of how large this is and yet we continue madly going on as if everything is okay. The Fed keeps printing dollars, down from $85 billion monthly to $75 billion now (it should be zero) and the President leads the way in his idea of frugality by continuing spending binge vacations like a King on the taxpayer's dime.
The Democrats say that we have to keep doing this to prop up our faltering economy and the weak-kneed Republicans just meekly go along and the train of debt and financial destruction just keeps rolling on at a quickened rate. Don't worry, they tell us, we know what we are doing and America is still the greatest nation on earth and we'll be fine. Tell those to whom we owe our debt, like the Chinese, and they'll just laugh while they continue to make military "noise" in the Pacific and Iran mocks our weakened international stance.
Meanwhile, in case you aren't looking closely, we, the people are being hosed. Despite the doctoring of the consumer price index, inflation is ramping up in everything you buy, yet income levels are declining. More and more workers are being moved from full-time to part-time status with limited work hours, yet the government declares that unemployment is better. Well, if you drop off everyone who has given up after years of searching and you count "burger flipping" part-time jobs the same as a full-time production gig, I guess they're right. But since we all know the difference, the lies are becoming bigger and the family financial shortfalls are getting bigger as well. Unless you're one of the freeloaders gorging on stuff that other people, the still working taxpayers, pay for.
And two things are just now ramping up into high gear which will make things so much worse for what is left of the middle class. These two time bombs are Health Care Reform and Immigration Reform, both of which will have disastrous consequences on working Americans.
First, Obamacare. The middle class can't afford it and, even if they could, it would be a very bad purchase decision to follow. Doctors are leaving their practices in droves, quality hospitals are either refusing or not being accepted into the program, and the administrative process necessary to support such a behemoth program is fraught with incompetence and downright corruption. Seriously, folks, do you really want to pay more for a product which is sure to give much less while at the same time facing identity theft committed by those who are supposed to be leading the program? Do so at your own peril but be aware that it is not going to end well for you and when you need care and go to the hospital with an emergency don't be surprised if you get care reminiscent of the movie Soylent Green.
Second, so-called Immigration Reform. Since when does a nation no longer have the right to control her own borders? Our weak-kneed politicians are more concerned about serving illegals than they are American citizens. Why? Because Democrats are looking for a new batch of voters to replace those who have left the party and Republicans (not all,but definitely the RINO and RINO-leaning elements, including the entire national leadership cadre) want cheap labor at the behest of K-Street and the Chamber of Commerce which owns their soul. Anything for a campaign contribution, the new DC priority one.
So where will this all lead? Well, the answer is found in the works of a couple of professors from Columbia University who preached this program back in the 1970's era. Their names were Cloward and Piven and their program was designed to bring down the United States of America. They hated the United States of America and they were rabid socialists. By spending and spending and spending some more, eventually our Democratic Republic would reach the point of economic collapse, at which time the miscreants would be in a position to "fundamentally change the United States of America".
You've heard that term before haven't you? It's because Barack Obama and many of his key allies were students of the Cloward and Piven economic plan. Look up Wayne Allyn Root, a successful capitalist, libertarian and former classmate of Obama at Columbia and you'll understand exactly where we are headed. Root is a major truth teller on the subject.
So is there anything we can do to stop this mad dash to push America over the cliff? In my opinion there is only one thing. We must take back the Senate and retain the House in Republican hands and even that isn't foolproof. And while we know that a significant number of Republicans in both houses are RINOs, we must insure that the large majority after this year's election are true Conservatives. We must make it clear to the national Republicans and the front men like Reince Priebus and Karl Rove that their way won't work. And this means that incumbents like McConnell and Graham in the Senate and a number of squishy representatives as well must be sent home.
This a tall order, but it is doable if Conservatives will coalesce behind the mission. And while third parties in principle are wonderful, I just don't see the rise of force sufficient to take that course right now. No, we must win back Republicanism to a Goldwater variety-that will work. And men like John Boehner must learn that their power base in Washington isn't sufficient to satisfy the bigger America in flyover country.
This won't complete the problem but it can provide a good holding pattern and put controls on the spending. Next we'll have to elect a Republican President of the Goldwater-Reagan philosophy who will redirect America's energy to putting America Number One again. Middle of the road guys like McCain and Romney, while decent men, don't have the strength to challenge the Left and the Left must be challenged and defeated.
So let's get to work. There is much to be done. But with God's help and His mighty hand we can do it.
